    Details

    The leather shoe perfected.

The Men's Wilson Midlace Shoe epitomizes Frye's leather craftsmanship, timeless style, and unparalleled quality. Hand-burnished, full-grain Italian leathers give the Wilson's upper a sleek style that only looks better through the years. Frye lined the shoe in leather for a smooth entry, and the waxed fabric laces exhibit a leathery feel and look. Stacked leather enhances the shoe's overall sophistication, and the rubber sole readies the Wilson for anything that city nights throw your way.

High quality boots but made in Mexico

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs large

The Frye company prides themselves for being the oldest American boot company but it seems they crossed the border to save on labor. That said, the quality is still there. The leather is a bit plasticky looking new but it should age well. They feel comfy and have plenty of room for volume (width) and are a good 1/2 size large. I wear 9.5 in casuals and the size 9 has plenty of room even with thick wool socks. Not worth full retail price but a big Backcountry sale price and I'll keep them.
