Yes. It is waterproof to 328 feet, so you should be good to go.

I have only had the watch for a couple months, but so far, so good. I went on a backpack shortly after buying it, with some lower-Class 5 climbing. I recall banging the crystal against a rock once. I grimaced, looked down, and... Surprise! Not a scratch.

I like the fact you can leave it in compass mode. It will go to "sleep" after 30 seconds, displaying only the time. One only need press the Start/Stop button to awake the compass, saving the battery from continuously updating direction. Sweet!

With the watch on my wrist, and arms down by my side, I can only hear the alarm if I KNOW it's about to go off, and focus my hearing. To be fair, however, I don't hear high frequency sound all that well.
