Description

Performance package.

There was a time when the oft-overused descriptor 'beefy' could be applied to 32mm stanchion forks. Things have changed quickly, and now 32mm forks are serving duty on highly capable trail bikes and XC race bikes alike. In fact, the Fox Racing Shox 32 Float 140 RL sports travel that, at one time, was considered freeride territory -- without the weight.

We've come a long way since then, and bikes that populate trails now offer ride dynamics and performance levels shared with high-performance motorsports. Features like the 32 Float's optional 15mm thru-axle, and its hollow truss-to-seal flange ensure weight is minimized. But, more importantly, this enhances the overall chassis stiffness for unparalleled steering precision and ride dynamics.

Complementing the 32 Float 140's flex-fighting chassis is an easy to adjust and reliable open bath damper. It offers rebound tuning on the upper right leg, and, for efficient climbing, a lockout that's activated via a crown-mounted lever. Preload is changed by adding or removing air from the air spring, that, on average, can weigh up to a pound less then coil sprung counterparts.

The Fox Racing Shox 32 Float 140 RL comes in Gloss Black with a Grey Logo, or Black with either a Grey or Black and White Logo. It has a 1.5in tapered steerer with a 15QR thru-axle or standard 9mm.

Hi there,

Will this work with the Santa Cruz Nickel that was on this site 5 months or so ago? Also, what year is it and is it that much different than the other Fox 140 forks that cost more than double this price for an average rider?

Thanks for any HELP!

Will the Fox Racing Shox 32 Float 140 RL fit a 2006 Cannondale Rush? I'm running a Rock Shox Recon 80-140 adjustable now with a non tapered steerer.

I am looking for a 1.125" straight head tube - no taper. The written description for this item suggests it is what I am looking for. The photo for the item and the options description state 1.5T which suggest that it is tapered. Which is it?
