Description

A remote control for the trail.

There was a time when suspension forks lacked any sort of manual lock-out, which was indeed a simpler time. Now, thankfully, we can toggle the fork's willingness to compress, making us more efficient on the climbs or when it's time to sprint, for example, but this introduces a new problem: accidentally leaving the fork in its locked position - an especially frustrating experience once you've already begun a high-speed technical descent. Fox Racing Shox's 32 Float 100 Remote FIT fork comes to the rescue, equipped with a handlebar-mounted, cable-actuated remote control, so that you don't need to reach down to the fork's crown in a precarious moment to adjust your settings.

The remote isn't all that sells the Float 100 32 Remote FIT, though. What's "FIT" stand for, anyway? It's the fork's innovative damper that prevents the mixing of oil and air overtime, which gradually decreases the fork's ability to respond to terrain, reducing your control. The damper is also inverted compared to most forks, placing it lower in the fork's chassis, lowering the center of gravity and increasing control at speed or in technical situations.

The "32" stands for the 32mm stanchions, a size that amounts to a great balance between stiffness and strength. At the top of those stanchions is a tapered alloy steerer tube, while at the bottom sit the fork's magnesium lowers, secured to the wheel by a 15mm thru-axle. There's an indexed rebound adjustment knob at the bottom, while back on top of the crown is a Schrader value for adding or removing air.

The Fox Racing Shox 32 Float 100 Remote FIT comes in White with Custom logos, Black with Grey logos, or White with Black and White logos.
