    Are you gellin'?

Gel gloves have traditionally been the best friends of bike path cruisers and weekend casualistas, but the Fox Racing Reflex Men's Gel Gloves see things a little differently. Sure, they sport comfortable gel padding in strategic spots, but they manage to do so without losing the responsiveness that singletrack riders demand.

The double-layer Clarino synthetic suede palm is outfitted with ergonomically placed gel pads to take the sting out of the long XC rides, and the air mesh upper keeps your hands cool and dry. Silicone print on the fingertips keeps your shifting and braking performance on the top shelf, a microsuede thumb patch wipes noses and glasses, and the hook-and-loop cuff tab provides a secure and easy-to-use closure.

    Reduce the Hand Pump

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

On a recent bachelor party trip to Hood River, Oregon I snagged these Reflex Gel Gloves for my friend the Nickster. I picked up a pair last year and really liked the cush feel of the gel and the breathability, especially for riding down in the Utah desert. I know Nick's fiancee appreciates the extra protection for his ring finger! These gloves are great for long descents since they reduce the hand pump and keep you going until the end of the ride. I did bust the mesh on mine in a crash but so goes it with mountain bike gloves, they don't last forever.

Feel free to shoot me any questions on bike gloves or anything mountain bike related.

Great palms, flimsy mesh, & meh velcro

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

Think of these as road gloves: if can't remember the last time you crashed or clipped a hand on a trailside branch or obstacle, they'll probably last 6-12 months.
I replaced mine after 10 months of dirt riding due to failing velcro & growing holes in the mesh back-of-hand that refused to bond with the Tenacious Repair Tape I've used to repair countless gloves & other damaged MTB garments.
The mesh on back of hand tears easily: my favorite trails are narrow, & lined with dense head-height manzanitas. My other gloves w/ back-of-hand reinforcement (Giro Xen) and/or better fabrics (Endura) have faired much better, and allow for Tenacious Tape repairs when damaged by heavy brush / crash contact.

Fit great, comfy and fairly breathable

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

These gloves are a great balance between protection & coolness. I live in Phoenix and ride quite a bit during summer and they stay fairly cool, but I do keep a second pair in my pack on really hot days when I soak thru them. I have had two crashes where my hands took the brunt of impact, but no road rash occurred on my hands.

The downside is the velcro tends to lose its tackiness after several dozen rides. I'm not sure why this occurs. It could be defective velcro or maybe my heavy sweating affects the tackiness. Either way, it shortens the life of the glove.

    Great gloves!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

These gloves are great. Fit is absolutely perfect, being snug but without any limitation to movement at all.

Have used them so far in hot temperatures and cooler ones and they do not disappoint. Over quick moving XC riding for several hours and my hands never fell asleep or felt tired.

Even took a fall in them into some saw palmetto and they came out looking perfect.

Thinking I should buy a second pair to have incase they stop making them.

New gloves are the best feeling !!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

So far, so good with these gloves! I have used them a dozen times or so and the Velcro still works great, there is just enough padding, and no tears yet. They grip well and the fit seems to be true to size.

    Good Gloves!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XL

I order them in XL and on sale. They fit me perfect. Good material and the green color is very nice just like the pic. They are very breathable and the padding on the palm is really good. They don't have much protection for the knuckles etc. but again they are not to expensive. Great value for your money

    Gel'in like a Felon

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large

Just ordered my 3rd pair! Been using them for everything from racing enduro to cross country rides. They are cool, comfortable and look great! You may say they don't last long if I'm on my 3rd pair...but I ride nearly 125 miles mtb per week!

I think Fox does run a hair small compared to other brands. The Large was way too much. Medium fits like a dream.

    Love 'em

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

Been using these all summer and I am happy. Low profile pads are placed well and keep my hands comfortable. The material on the back of the hand breathes well even in hot weather. The gloves seem to be holding up well, but time will tell. I can even use a smartphone screen with them on. Nice gloves.

    Gel works

    • Size Bought: Medium

I switch between these gloves (Medium), the Fox Ranger (Medium), and Fox Dirt paw (Large). I've downhill'd in all 3 and all I can say is that the "Gel" works. My hands don't get as fatigue as other gloves. I just don't think these look cool - but that's just me

    Kinda Big

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs large

This guys are great, the fabrics and material very light and breathable, the gel pads located in important spots help for fatigue but kinda big for me, i'm Small size but this gloves contains more space so i have some room in my fingers and the palms. When it's locked out works fine but i'm gonna try a smaller size

    Kinda Big
