Ranger danger.

Fox Racing's Ranger Gloves will let you enjoy the ride with control and comfort by covering your hands with technology that's hardly noticeable. Gloves that are bulky cause bunching and hotspots on long rides, and ill-fitting gloves put "the phone game" between you and your bike — as steering inputs, trail feedback, and minute corrections are lost to a sloppy interface.

The Ranger glove uses a double layer suede palm for exceptional grip and resistance to wear, without losing that essential input and feedback. A lightweight and flexible fabric along the top of the hand gives a snug fit without cutting off circulation or hindering dexterity. Silicone fingertips add extra grip for positive shifting and braking. An absorbent thumb wipe keeps things clean, while a low-profile wrist tab closure secures the Ranger for excellent control and comfort.

The Fox Racing Ranger Gloves come in sizes Small through X-Large and in four colors: Fatigue Green, Orange, Black, and Grey.

Solid, not quite perfect

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I've been riding these for a few weeks and they seem to be typically bomber, as I expect from Fox at this point. The silicone grippers seem like they're really well bonded to the leather, in particular; the fabrics all seem tough and the stitching is great. The honeycomb print on the back of the hand, aside from looking snazzy, also seems to add a bit of structure and protection.

My only complaint is that the palms seem baggy compared to the fingers--I couldn't size down because the fingers would be tight and short, and as-is I'd be concerned about chafing on a big mountain day. Strange, but not a deal-breaker. These are good gloves.

Thinner Than I Expected, Very Comfy

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I have large hands and usually have to go through a few products to find just the right fit. These fit right the first time.
The material was a little thinner than I expected but not so much that I felt like they wouldn't protect my hands during a decent crash. I've taken these on quick, hot rides and long, overcast multi-hour slogs—they kept my hands comfortable in both situations.
My one gripe is the wrist closure. Rather than closing flat across the wrist, the closure requires a downward-diagonal pull to get the full purchase on the Velcro. This is minor, and I'm sure it was a design choice to more fully cinch around the bottom part of the wrist. I just found it a little annoying at first.

Good looking and useful gloves

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift

I gave these to my husband for his birthday. He really likes the look. (grey/green color) He has large hands and they fit just right (XL) He says they aren't tight in the knuckles or across the palm, where he usually has problems. They are on the thinner side but have good quality leather and fabric so he's not worried about that at all. He likes the breath-ability.
