Urban sensibility with a backcountry soul.

Used to be, if you were looking for skate-inspired style and trail-ready performance in one package, you'd have to surgically create your own frankenshoes. Not any more—the good dudes at Forsake have done the dirty work for you with the Hiker Boot, a shoe that's equally at home hangin' at the bar, cruising slushy city streets, or stomping through full-on outdoor missions. The Hiker sports a full-grain leather, suede, and Cordura upper with tons of detail stitching and subtle touches, outfitted with a waterproof and breathable membrane to keep your dogs dry in all sorts of conditions. A dual-density EVA midsole and composite shank work hard to keep your feet feeling as good as they look, and a gusseted tongue ensures all-day ankle comfort when you're on the trail so you can focus on more important things, like whether your hiking companion would be interested in a dinner date.

    Comfortable Waterproof

I wear this casually when wet parking lot slush is a guarantee. It keeps my feet dry, is comfortable and sheds the snow easily when I knock them together. They are a bit bulkier than I was expecting but not enough of a big deal to return.

      Dry Feet For Days

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 11.5

I love these kicks, they are the most comfortable hiking boots I have ever owned. Not only do they look supper stylish they are functional as well. While walking through snow and creeks my feet never got wet and when your done with your daily adventure they look stylish enough to wear out on the town all night long. I only wish that they would breath a little better, but when walking and standing in creeks I am happy with dry feet. After a few long hikes I think these are a great option but not as supportive as others, but as stated before the waterproofing is unbeatable. Literally standing in a creek no water gets in.

Best waterproof shoe i have ever had

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

This has been one of the best all weather shoes that i have ever owned , the dual rubber design grips perfect to all surfaces including ice , function and fashion makes this a perfect all around shoe.

      Warm and Dry

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size

Despite looking pretty casual these boots hold up in winter conditions. I've stomped through puddles, snow and slush and stayed completely dry inside. They are very very warm, great for winter but you'd be hard pressed to use these in milder conditions I think. Overall a great winter boot.

      Go-To Winter Footwear

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size

I’m a huge sucker for casual, street-style hiking footwear and these fit that bill perfectly. They keep my piggies warm and dry, and are absurdly comfortable. The Hikers have great grip on snow and ice, and they crush it at après-ski.

      Kickstarter Pair

I grabbed a pair of these when they launched their successful kickstarter campaign. I loved the idea of a hiking boot with style and performance. Since then, I have put them through every kind of condition I could. I love this boot. They look great, have relatively grippy soles, keep you warm (maybe too warm), and they are always comfy. I did 17 miles round-trip in one day to Capitol Peak in these recently. My feet didn't feel like heaven afterwards, but they held up better than any of my other hiking options would have. The lacing is efficient and leaves you options for how high you want to tighten them. I hear the waterproofing is pretty solid now too (not so great on my model).

My only gripe, and I was told by the owner and a Vendor Rep that this is fixed now, is that the leather on the toe scuffed very easily. The toe on mine looks like it is from a whole different boot. They now use a better leather that will look good and be more water repellent.

      Overall, this boot is money!

From the street to the mountains..

These shoes are great. Stylish, comfortable, and practical. I bought them to survive snowy east-coast winters, but I find myself using them up until the heat of the summer. After a year, the waterproofing still holds up, and they're much more comfortable to walk in than my leather winter boots.

      Best hiking shoes I own

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 9.5

I've bought over 30 hiking shoes in my life (my wife hates me for it!) and this is perhaps my favorite. I heard about these guys originally through KickStarter and picked up a pair earlier this year before a trip to Alaska. I wore it on average for 11 hours a day for 8 straight days and I loved it. I could've slept in these babies. Comfortable, breathable, waterproof, and just good looking, I've never appreciated a pair of shoes--outdoor or indoor--more than I appreciated my hiker. I also got a lot of compliments from people in my group, which helped, and I'm pretty sure I got everyone to buy a pair.

TL;DR: these shoes are the best. If you don't own any forsakes, do yourself a favor and get one.

      Excellent boot

      • Fit: True to size

These guys show no signs of slowing down. Put them through the wringer this winter and they held their own. Strongly recommend to anyone looking for a waterproof, durable and comfortable boot. Plus I've had multiple people compliment me on the style which is always a plus for a hiking boot. I loved these so much that I had to buy the low top Banks for the summertime.

      Comfortable from the start

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

I've done a couple 3+ hour hikes on rocky NH trails, and they felt comfortable thru the hike, during the ride home, and walking the city streets. Plus, they look great on the streets.

      Durable boots, great look.

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

The green mountains have put these shoes to work and they have performed admirably. Good ankle support over all types of mountain terrain I've come across. Love the style, too. It's not about looks, but it's a refreshing touch.

      Fantastic - Versatile Shoe!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size

Not only is this shoe comfortable and good looking, but it truly performs - the ankle support is excellent, and it really is completely waterproof. Perfect for any kind of outdoor activity. I've been wearing my hikers nonstop and they don't show any sign of slowing down!

      Great boots, no blisters

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size

Excellent shoe, I have it in black and I wear it all the time. I took it on a hiking trip to Mesa Verde, Grand Canyon and Zion National Park in Utah and it stood up to some of the toughest terrain that America has to offer (with no blisters).

Love it, love Forsake, keep producing great stuff!

Got these boots as a gift for my Manfriend, they are rad. Perfect snow boots, waterproof, and not so bulky (great for driving to the slopes). They also fit true to size. Big Thumbs up!

How do these fare in the summer? Would love to use them as a year round boot but I don't want my feet to be unbearably hot during summer expeditions. Thanks!

Hi there - in case you're still deciding, I'd say it depends on where you live and how hot it is there in summer. Desert hiking probably won't be much fun, but if you live in cool mountains, these are great and stylish year-round.
