Because you can't wear your ski boots all the time.

Designed by ski bums sick of inferior off-the-mountain footwear, the Forsake Men's Clyde Boot is your ideal boot for driving to the mountain, digging your truck out of a snowbank, tailgating in the parking lot, and pub crawling after last chair. Forsake is all about functional design and practical technology; it's about versatility for sunny days, rainy days, and powder days; it's about making not a fashion statement, but a bold statement of intent.

With an upper made of suede, full grain leather, and corduroy ballistic nylon, the Clyde fits all of Forsake's design philosophies perfectly, all while looking and feeling good. A waterproof and breathable membrane keeps your feet dry, and a die-cut EVA midsole, moisture-wicking mesh lining, and gusseted tongue keep them comfy. The injection-molded nylon shank provides plenty of support, so go ahead and dance all night, brother. Just remember you have to wake up for first chair.

Hands down the best boot ever!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

The Forsake Clyde Boots are the best boots I've ever had! They are so comfortable and look sick! I get compliments on these all the time. I've never bought the same boot twice and after completely thrashing these on a gnarly hike last year, I ended up buying a second pair this year for casual wear. Get yourself a pair! There's no way you'll be disappointed!

The most comfy boot/shoe I've owned

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Well built. Very light weight. Ridiculously comfortable. Good grip. I don't have a bad thing to say about the Forsake Clyde boot. They are the ultimate around town shoe. I'd definitely take them for light mountain hiking as well. I highly recommend them.

I have 2 pairs and know I'll have more because these are just bomber boots that perform well and look good doing it. I live in Montana and use them on lots of adventures from camping, shuttling to the ski hill and work boots. These are incredibly comfortable, provide good ankle support, great traction in snow and are waterproof -what's not to like?

Since I got these last winter I haven't worn anything but in the slushy parking lot of a ski resort.

Fully waterproof - very warm - extra comfortable.

Cant go wrong with these in mud season / winter.

Also hiked Tuckermans in them with no complaints.

    Incredibly reliable and comfortable shoe

This is my third pair of Forsakes, and the shoes just keep getting better and better. My Clydes are rugged, comfortable, and hold up to repeated beatings on the jobsite. They're equally great in the winter, keeping my feet warm and dry and providing plenty of traction in the snow. All of this, and they still look great enough to wear out to dinner or a bar. I'd definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a reliable, comfortable, all-around great shoe.

Could ask for a better shoe/boot

Waterproof and extremely durable, owned a pair of these for about 6 moths and still going strong. Whether hiking in the mountains or navigating the club scene this shoe stands out and stands up. Love these, highly recommended!

      Best All Around Shoe Period!!

Wear them with shorts hiking... Wear them on a hot date... Wear them in the parking lot after skiing. I think they can do everything. 100% waterproof, which means your ski socks aren't getting wet before you put your boots on! My go to shoe in New England.

These are excellent all-around footwear that I wear pretty much full time from Fall to late Spring (they tend to be a bit warm for summer months). I'm impressed with the comfort and versatility, and it's nice to know that my feet will stay dry no matter what. I like that they're lightweight. My feet tend to be a little bit wide and these shoes feel just right to me. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for comfortable, versatile footwear who enjoy the outdoors.

Yeah, they will do that..and that...etc.

Doesn't look like there is much more for me to say about these that you don't already know.

Tired of the standard look that most companies offer in an outdoor / hiking boot? Yeah, me too. Enter the Clyde. These have a cool modern look and don't lack at all in the tech features. These are extremely versatile. I have taken them from extremely high elevations in the Peruvian mountains, down to the jungle valleys.

They have stood up to anything that I have thrown at them. I just spent a night camping in the rain and these did amazing at keeping my feet dry and comfortable the whole time.

As already said, with the membrane they can get a little warm, but that comes with the territory.

If you are looking for a do anything boot that you can take from the summit to the bar, you have found them.

Yeah, they will do that..and that...etc.

just what i needed for bumming around off the mountain, stand up to snow/slush no problem, feet dry, warm and happy. Zero break-in period for me and the size fit perfectly true. Seal of approval.

Walking to campus where it rains 36 inches a year and having Baker out your backdoor, a good pair of boots is a necessity. Hands down some of the sickest boots I've ever owned. Comfortable beyond belief, dry as a bone and fresh as hell.

I just got back from hiking in Chile for two weeks, the boot was perfect for wet, muddy conditions. The longest hike I did was 10 miles with this boot and it did great. Plus I wore it on the travel days to Chile and it was comfy the whole time

I discovered Forsake when they did their original Kickstarter campaign while looking for some cool sneakers that were waterproof for the slushy winter weather in the valley. And that is exactly what these are. These are my go-to winter shoe for day-today and for travel. Get to work, the shops and the bar with dry feet while not looking like you are going hiking for a week.

Great for hiking and approaches also. I love mine.

Ankle Deep and dry as a bone

I had the pleasure of taking these boots out for a spin in the Chuckanut Mountains last weekend on a trout hunting mission. Typical autumn rains moved in on us as we reached the trailhead, and began spitting pretty hard as we got down the trail toward the lake. The approach was steep, muddy, and slick, but I stayed on my feet the whole time. By the time we reached the lake, the rain was unrelentingly falling and the only open shoreline consisted of bunch of fallen nurse-trees; sketchy to say the least. Pole in hand, camera on my neck, and not even 5 minutes into my investigation I was ankle deep and sinking further into the murk. Luckily I acted quick and got to dry land in a flash, but I was surprised as hell that my socks were still crispy dry. The hike back up the hill to the truck was dastardly, but the Clyde's gave me the upper-foot and got me home safe ,dry, and styling.

Would these be good shoes to travel around a city in the summer along with a good pair to do moderate hikes at the same time?

      Best Answer

These are a perfect all around shoe. super comfortable to explore around town in, and beefy enough to take on pretty serious hikes. did just under 30 miles in 2 days in the Presidentials (very rocky/harsh terrain) with my last pair right out of the box. no blisters, no hot spots, no complaints.

      Nathan,

I'd echo that they can handle rugged hiking, and if the waterproof membrane is important to you, then you'd be happy there.

However, if you want a more breathable option for wandering the city that can still handle the hiking, check out the Mack. The mesh venting on the side keeps your dogs just right when the thermostat gets on the sweaty side.

Any idea how these would compare to the Thurston, warmth and breath-ability wise? I have a pair of Thurston's and they are warm as heck and don't breath well.

      Are these warm?

      Joshua W.,

Thats a pretty broad question. These are casual wear boots. They are not overly insulated. That being said - you can pretty much pair any boot with a really solid sock and it will be "warm." I would not suggest taking these boots out snow shoeing but they will get you through the windy streets of Chicago just fine.
