These would take a long time to stop a train. It was an exaggeration.

Are you ready to do some big-boy riding? Are your brakes ready? Formula designed The One Hydraulic Disc Brake to give you train-stopping power. Massive 24mm pistons generate huge braking forces to keep you out of trouble when you're pushing your riding to the limits. So you're thinking, 'This thing must weigh a ton to be that powerful.' We don't normally tell customers they're wrong. But in this case ... The One weighs an incredible 308 grams. That's a lot less than the nearest competitor's DH brake, and only 38 grams more than the Formula R1, which is the lightest disc brake ever made.

I've run Hope and Code before The One's. I'd say all 3 are comparable. But I'm on these brakes because they haven't given me any problems, pad change is simple, and I got um cheap through a friend.
No fade, 1 finger easy. I really can't think of anything more I could want from a brake.
