You might be tempted to mount the Folsom Trophy Ski on your wall so everyone can ooh and ahh, but you wouldn't have it on your feet if you did, and that'd be a real shame. The skiers at Folsom designed the Trophy to be a playful powder-crusher, with a rockered tip and tail to float you over the deep stuff, a tapered tip and tail for easy turn initiation, and a lightweight poplar and bamboo core to keep things nice and nimble in tight spots. With a 17m turning radius, the Trophy's at home in the trees, but sports a carbon laminate, giving it enough backbone to speed things up a little in wide-open terrain.
Skiing's not always untracked powder, so Folsom made sure the Trophy could handle its business on the hardpack, too. In addition to the speedy 4001 sintered bases, it boasts 2.5mm steel edges that have been hardened to 48 Rockwell, giving you bomber edge grip for a ski that's a robust 115mm underfoot. Switch riding your thing? The Trophy's virtually symmetrical, so you can switch things around and shred backwards if you'd like, and the traditional underfoot camber will help you stay locked on your edges at high speeds and in rougher terrain.
