FlyLow gear designed the Women's Masala Jacket for mountain-town girls. Its fabric seals out the wet, provides awesome ventilation, and flexes comfortably when you tour, rappel into a chute, or build a snow cave with your friends.

  • Equipped with waterproof fabric and fully taped seams, the Marsala laughs in the face of blustery snow storms
  • Underarm vents ditch excess heat when you hike, bootpack, tour, or ski nonstop top-to-bottom runs
  • A true women's fit makes you feel like the queen of the mountain
  • A helmet-compatible hood with three-way cinches shields your face and provides comfort
  • A powder skirt with stash buttons removes for spring days
  • Articulated arms allow you to easily rappel into a chute or fasten your skis in your ski rack
  • No-bulk cuffs for comfort
  • A multitude of internal and external pockets stash your ski goodies and spare goggles

Bottom Line: Can your current jacket do all of this and still look good? We didn't think so.

Hoping this was going to be my new jacket for both ripping the resort and doing some backcountry skiing. Unfortunately I did not like the length of the coat. It is very short. Also there are no wrist gaiters so snow is likely to get in the gloves. It is a high quality waterproof shell, but not what I recommend for an everyday ski jacket....unless you plan to order a size bigger and layer up.

It's simple function meets fashion

Light weight, wind and waterproof, durable, and seam sealed zippers! Big hood and pocket space with a nice womens cut to keep showing off the curves too! Love the simple look with lots of function. Good pit zips for hikes. Get it a little larger so you can layer on really cold days and this could be your best everyday jacket for the whole season.

Love it

Picked up a Masala jacket for my lady a couple of season back now and there is not a winter day that it does not get used. Miss G had struggled with several other jackets over the years due to fit, feel, ease of movement and durability. This Jacket has dealt with all those problems and keeps on ROCK'N!
Used for in bounds days, B/C tours and guiding its one piece of equipment that never leaves her side.

Masala aka Sweetness

I had one jacket to travel the entire length of Chile with, and this was the ticket. Stylish, technical, Patagonian weather had a hard time saying "super mojada (wet)" to it. Also had the FlyLow Gear Charlie jacket, which actually layered well under this one when I had to really hunker down in the Andes. Win-win-win...

Love this Jacket!

This is going to be my everyday jacket in Tahoe - resort and backcountry. It's a hard shell, but is as comfortable as a soft shell - the fabric is soft. I layer it with a fleece and a down jacket on cold days and just a fleece on average Sierra Days. I'm 5'5" and usually wear a small in Patagonia, but needed a medium in Flylow jackets. The exterior pockets are a little small, but the interior pockets are money and the system for headphones is great. The hood is great and stays put over my Smith Maze helmet.
