Crafted from a blend of carbon and fiberglass, the Flux DL Snowboard Binding offers a super-light, highly responsive feel for freestyle riders looking to turn the mountain into their personal playground. Its Ultima baseplate uses a super carbon blend (that's 25% carbon/75% fiberglass for you shred nerds) for snappy turns without feeling overly stiff. Plus, the DL comes with a Hybrid footbed with natural canting. Softer EVA foam on the binding's instep aligns your knees and hips in a more anatomically correct stance for enhanced comfort.

Helping you tweak-out grabs and lay into presses, the binding's Ultima Wing highback gives you a soft lateral flex without sacrificing heel-to-toe response when you're blasting down groomers or floating through fresh snow. This highback is crafted from super-tough nylon to withstand the rigors of high-octane freestyle riding. Additionally, the highback's wing wraps around the back of your calf, helping you load-up ollies and stomp heavy landings.

Rounding out the impressive list of features on this top-shelf binding, you'll find an Absolute Fit ankle strap that's curved around the outside for more comfort and response. New for this year, Flux re-designed their toe strap to accommodate over-the-tip and over-the-top wear, should you opt for a more traditional feel. Another cool innovation comes in the way of a urethane mounting disc. This 4-hole disc (Channel disc available upon request from Flux) flexes underfoot, helping to reduce the 'dead spot' inherent with a stiff mounting disc.

OK bindings

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These bindings are a medium to softer flex. Very responsive as well. But I had problems with the toe ratchets coming of and not wanting to lock in. In close review of the ratchet I found just little chucks of Ice in them. Note this happened the first time in my first run of the day. It happened in cold weather and slush as well.also these bindings do not have that much shock absorption compared to my union contacts and my new union factory bindings. These bindings are just good for how incredible light they are. Overall I see better bindings for a 100$ cheaper.
