Hey Alex,
The recommended use would just be "freestyle" as they are a soft-medium binding that can basically do it all. Great for all mountain.

How is the quality of these? I have seen these break easily,
How is the quality of these? I have seen these break easily, but for patrol, need a quality pair with the ease of entrance and speed. Any idea how good the quality is?

The quality of these bindings are really good. They would be great for patrol because of the easy entrance and exit speed.
