Ridden by the likes of Tim Humphreys and Mike Basich, the Flow Men's Hylite Focus Boa Snowboard Boot is ready for high-flying freestyle antics, as well as steep and deep backcountry missions. This medium-stiff boot offers plenty of response for tearing apart steep terrain, and top-notch support for sticking landings off huge kickers.
The Boa H3 Focus closure provides dual zone lacing with the twist of two separate knobs. This allows you to fine tune the upper and lower zones independently, giving you total control of the fit and performance of the boot. Designed with a 3D molded toe and tongue, this boot delivers a streamlined fit for less shell distortion. Its 4 Feather Liner can be heat-molded for a custom fit straight out of the box. This liner has internal J-Bars for locked-in heel hold and an internal Ripper harness for a secure, comfortable fit. Plus, the liner is treated with a Silvadur antimicrobial coating to prevent nasty smelling microbes from inhabiting your boots.
Absorbing impact while conforming to the natural shape of your foot, the boot's self-molding footbed uses OC Kush Dampening in the forefoot and heel to soak up nasty landings and harsh chatter from high-speed riding. Additionally, the Hylite Focus Boa has a Vibram Sole with Barefoot Technology. This five-part sole enhances board feel for tons of control when you're ripping around the entire mountain.

My new favorite boots
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I had Salomon Synapse for so many years and I wanted a new boots. It is taking me so many tries to eventually settle with this. First, it is a premium build in term of quality, look, and BOA lace system. Secondly it gives a good cushion and last it is comfortable right on the first ride.
Comparing to the synapse, this one is very comfortable yet harder than the synapse. I was having night mare getting the synapse broken-in in the first days. None of these paint I feel with the Hylite. The synapse provide better heal support but this one better overall fit. I never feel the boot is squeeze my a-bit-wider feet.
One other MUST factor is the smaller foot print. This is the only (or very few) boot size 8.5 that can fit in the flow size M. Others would require a size L flow bindings.
Today, it's on sale even more than when I got it. I definitely recommend this over the other boots I have: Synapse (hurting), K2 Maysis (Soft).

Picture shows boot and 4 feather liner with extra velcro strap that is in my eyes pointless and difficult to engage when foot is in boot.
I have the previous years model of this boots and do not like how difficult it is to get these dialed in.
Flow put a little too much technology into these boots which make them extremely difficult to get on and off!
For having two boa reels I expected to get these on and off my feet way quicker than a traditional lace boot and I was sorely mistaken. I also borrowed the boots to a friend who visited and he had the same issue.
The Easiest way to get your foot inside the boot is to release the boa and stretch the shell to the point where you think the boa is at its maximum length. Then relock the boa as you slide in your foot..
The four feather harness liner with the ripper closure caused some of the issue but mostly it was the shell. the liner could not move when putting it on and the tongue/ boas didn't extend far enough either.
Once you finally do slide your feet in, they are for sure secure and the boas stayed tight. I never had to re-adjust at any point in the day. The ripper harness provided the security to lock my heel in place as well, which is what I wanted in the boot, but it over all wasn't worth the hassle.
There also is a Velcro strap that goes across the front of the liner which isn't really needed and is extremely difficult to engage.
Bottom line - not worth the trouble or hassle. Thumbs down
comfortable out of the box

These are the most comfortable and warm boots I have had out of the box. Coming from Salomon Malamutes that were always painful for 10-15 days even after heat molding them. These are slightly wider in the heel which may become an issue and I'm curious how the textured fabric will hold up over time.
