Shovel snow off the driveway, and the Fjallraven Men's Yupik Insulated Parka will still be dry afterwards so you can take a snowy stroll with the family. For my brother
I got this for my brother and let me tell you, it's amazing! This coat is heavy, substantial, and sharp. Super warm, functional pockets, and a plethora of optional holding locations for phones, wallets, passports. G1000 is durable and stylish.
Well thought out, warm & lots o' pockets
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: Runs large
- Size Bought: Small
Symmetrical internal pockets/features means that lefties can enjoy gasket holes for ear buds and all the convenience that us right handers take for granted. Related: I'm still finding pockets. Definitely high quality and well designed. As warm as you'd expect. Had it out in -14 with no problems. Material is sturdy, get a size smaller that your normal fit and what else... hmmmm... that's it. It doesn't suck.
Well made, warm and lots of pockets
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: Runs large
- Size Bought: Medium
This coat runs large. I am 6 feet 2 with 43 chest and the medium is perfect if the plan is to wear over a shirt or middle layer that is not too thick. Don't need too much layering as this is a warm coat.
Coat is nice and long in the back - another feature I like.
Tons of pockets, the only problem with pockets is the two media pockets on the inside (one on each side) will not accommodate a large phone like the iPhone 6+ or a Samsung Note. Plan on using one of the other pockets in this case. Have not tried the hood in a storm yet but it looks and feels awesome. Build quality is solid and coat pretty much says - Bring it on Winter!
The "mountain grey" looks more army green online. Is it grey or green?
I live in Michigan and am looking for a coat that I can wear with a casual shirt underneath and still be warm during the dead of winter.
How warm is this coat and what temperatures is it designed for?
How long in inches is this jacket?
Where is this parka made?
