This is a terrific shirt. I am tall (6'0") and skinny (30inch waist) with long arms so a lot of flannel-type shirts look very baggy on me. I got a medium and it has a perfect tailored-yet-casual look, with perfect length on the sleeves. It must be the Scandinavian sizing for those lean Viking types... The material is a very heavy, yet soft, cotton. Definitely a winter shirt, as warm as any fleece, and I've even taken to wearing it like a a light jacket this fall. The construction is impeccable and I expect this shirt will be a favourite for many seasons.

I already own one of the G1000 jackets and wanted to find another Fjallraven top to add to the shelf. I've been pleasantly surprised with this shirt. You immediately feel the quality of this flannel. It's thick, well designed, and has a classy look compared to all the other flannels I own. I feel the Skog will hold up to years of use and abuse, and I'm looking forward to breaking it in now that it's officially flannel season.

The fit - true to size, on the slim side, somewhat of a tailored fit

    Super comfy- for girls too!

I buy men's clothes sometimes because sizing is easier and with flannels, mens tend to be thicker and warmer. This shirt is really comfortable and fit me well. It is a slim fit. I love it and wear it camping as well as running errands and the house. Love it. Great all around shirt.

    Fjallraven Men's Skog Shirt

    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: XL

I bought one of these and it arrived alright, but the size was way small compared to local sizing, result, I had to purchase another larger shirt.

    Upping my flannel game

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large

I'm 6'3", 185 (a Libra who enjoys long walks on the beach...), and it's tough to find outdoor gear that's long enough in the torso/arms but doesn't totally swallow me up. True to many products from the Nords, this fits the bill. I was actually concerned about sleeve length out of the package, but one wash/dry and the sleeve hits me perfectly.

This is a great shirt for hitting the trail (sleeves roll up and button) and trolling for microbrews. Overall, very satisfied with a versatile style, weight, and cut.

    Great slim fit

I really like this shirt. Just got it 2 nights ago and wore it to my office job yesterday. It is a hefty, durable, flannel-like fabric. Great for cooler weather. The fit is probably the thing I like most about it. They really do mean that it is a slim fit, and that seems hard to find for me. I am 6'1" and about 195lbs and the large fits me like a glove! Sleeves are plenty long to reach my wrists, though I roll the cuffs up to my elbows with shirts like this.

      Husband Loves it!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: XL

I bought this shirt for my husband a couple years ago. It is his go to for cold winter days. Fits great, not baggy but not tight either. He is hard on everything he owns and this shirt has definitely stood up to the task.

      A tailored modern flannel

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Medium

At long last, a tailored modern flannel. Love this shirt, from the fit to the colors. The material is soft and heavy (in a good quality way) and as I mentioned the fit is slim and very modern. The arms are a bit long, but the sleeves look great rolled and are nice and trim. I bought the navy version and the colors are slightly darker than they appear in the image.

      Cost of looking good

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Large

I'll be honest, most Fjallraven products I buy are for their sleek Euro style and the label. That doesn't mean they aren't a worthy investment. This shirt has an eye-opening upfront cost for a cotton flannel. It doesn't have crazy wicking capabilities or DWR treatment or anything fancy. Just a tailored fit and soft yet durable feel. Their quality of product is always top notch. I haven't had the chance to wear this shirt more than 10 times yet, but I have an inkling it will last a long time. If it doesn't, I will update.

The buttons are relatively small and that worries me cause most my flannels end up having a button that won't stay buttoned over time. The pockets are spot on. I bought the Chestnut and the fox logo is discreet which I like. The fit is perfect for how I like my flannels. It hangs to the right level, sleeves are the correct length and there isn't too much balloon arm going on.

This flannel will travel across Scandinavia with you and also ride the couch. It doesn't mind and will look good doing it all.

      Worth it

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit: True to size

Used it already for a bigger hike in the Rockies. Even though it is expensive I like the technology behind and the design.

      Expensive but Quality

The thought of spending over $100 on a flannel makes me cringe, I can't help but think it's the label you're paying for. That being said, this shirt is really nice. The fit is great, tailored cut with enough room to move. The buttons are in the right spots, some flannels have the second button so low you can't stay warm unless you button all the way up and choke. The fabric is where you really notice the difference, it's just solid. The shirt isn't thick but it's dense, i was really surprised how warm this thing is given it's low/mid-weight profile. Seams are tight and buttons are locked on. Only time will tell if it's truly worth the money, but I definitely like the idea of spending more upfront for something quality that will last. From what I can tell this shirt meets that criteria.

      Ballard Tuxedo

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size

I purchased this fine accoutrement in order to protect myself from the harsh Seattle weather whilst traipsing around the local hipster hideaways after long days chopping wood in the back-country. In this vast landscape of skinny jeans and mustaches I can't jeopardize my safety with cheaply made rags; I need manly things made sturdy to contain my bulging chest and to ward off local wildlife and hipsters. Why, just the other day, I was walking through the dense forest of Old Ballard with my manly axe, when suddenly a bear wearing skinny jeans appeared. Hungry and desperate for some action, the bear lunged at my chest so I threw my fists in defense. The clamping jaws of the beast managed to bite my forearm, but the manliness of my new red skog shirt prevented the tooth and nail of the monster from penetrating through to my leathery and hair covered skin. The bear made a fatal flaw as the cloth of my shirt bit him back, and I reached around with my axe and crushed the beast with a single blow. The hipsters shouted applaudingly with their PBR and thrift shop clothing, then complimented my handsome red skog shirt. I came back a week later and the hipsters purchased all of the red skog shirts in the land and now look the same, despite their opposition to mainstream conformity.

When will there be more sizes available? I am looking to purchase this shirt in the navy color size XL.
