Here's what others have to say...

I got a defective one.

I bought this Jacket for my friend. And he sent me back a photo which showed the chest pocket was sewed up with the sleeve. So the chest part of this jacket is totally messed up. Now I have two choosers . Suck it or suffer from the international UPS shipping fee to have this returned.

Great Alternative to Hardshell When Dry

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I use this as a shell over various layers of wool / fleece for mild to moderate activity in temps down to 10 degrees F. I find it much more enjoyable to wear than a standard waterproof/breathable hardshell (in non-rain or wet snow conditions) because it is more breathable than standard hardshells (though I have not waxed mine), way more durable, and doesn't feel like a trash bag when it's cold. Wind resistance is solid. Plus it looks way better.

I'm 6'1", 165 lbs, lanky build and the medium works great when layering. I can fit a chunky wool sweater and two layers of medium weight fleece without any restriction in arm movement. The shoulders and upper arms are cut with lots of room for movement and the body and sleeves taper nicely.

Three minor drawbacks: absence of lower hand pockets is annoying, sleeves are very slightly too short for my long arms and I find the hood to be a little small.

    Great Around Town

Fjallraven's a totally new brand for me this year but I'm psyched on what I've seen so far. I picked this jacket up a couple weeks ago for wearing to work and around town. It's a great outer layer that's stylish and functional. It fits me well and I love the hood. My only complaint would be the lack of pockets for my hands but they have plenty of other styles with them if that's a deal breaker for you.

      Durable, great fit

      • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit:Runs small

I'm really digging this jacket. The fabric is durable, breathable, and the fit is stylin' and comfy. Movement is unhindered with a nice cut on the sleeves and chest.

No handwarmer pockets, but not the biggest deal if you don't think about it.

Are you guys planning on getting any other...

Are you guys planning on getting any other sizes and colours of the No. 1 any time soon?

      Great Styled Layer

      • Familiarity:I've used it several times
      • Fit:True to size

Fits my frame great. I am 6'5" and weigh 210lbs. The XL fits nicely. I am usually pretty picky about this stuff since my arms are so long. The length works for hiking but aren't long enough for cycling. I will wear mine in the city mostly. I wore it recently on a moto trip from Portland to Northern Idaho. It sheds bugs, absorbs water, dries quickly and looks great.

It might shed water after it is treated. Out of the package it isn't resistant at all. It does dry quickly though.

I am happy with this product.

      Very nice jacket

      • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit:True to size

Very well constructed, you can use it in the town or as a treeking jacket!

      Great Jacket

      • Familiarity:I've used it several times
      • Fit:True to size

Great rain and wind jacket. Very light in weight and stylish.

Does the jacket fit fairly tight? Trying to decide between L and XL

Yes, It does fit pretty tight. If you are between L and XL then go with XL
