Canada Shirt Jacket

Maple syrup supplies are at an all-time low, the firewood is running out, and that pesky black bear is lumbering up the porch again. Time to panic? Nah, just pull on the Fjallraven Men's Canada Shirt Jacket and go boil down some sap, sink your axe into some straight-grained ash, and wrestle that bear into submission. The Canada's wool-blend outer fabric will give you the manly confidence it takes to make maples tap themselves and subdued bears gather round to hear your tall tales, and the G-1000 lining will keep you warm while you sit on the porch, instructing your tamed ursines in the finer points of wood stacking.

Poor Quality Material

Yes it's warm, but the material nowhere near justifies the price. Mine began to pill both inside and outside from new and now looks and feels like a cheap thrift store purchase. I've only worn it maybe six times for casual wear, no heavy work, and it's now not fit to be worn anywhere but the yard.

Warm and soft.

Pleasant material, warm and soft. My only minor gripe is the sizing. I bought an XL and it is large in the body and short in the sleeves, so I have to roll them up when I wear it.

Lovely ahirt but button problems

I bought this shirt for my son for Christmas, he loves the style and warmth but the buttons are pinging off which is infuriating

Longlasting Shirt

Brought one for my husband too, as mine has lasted 4 years and still going strong. He's impressed with how windproof it is and with a bergtagen woolterry base hoodie underneath that's all you need in a cold Welsh windy day. I note some previous comments about the polyester content, but buying the same shirt (albeit indifferent colours) 4 years ago - the material compostion is the same as per the labels? Anyway - we're both happy with our Canada shirts

XXL perfection

As comfortable as it gets. Relaxed style and fit. Retains its shape after washings. I’m 66, 6’2” and 240. So XXL is my usual. From the double snap cuffs, through the soft texture, this is well constructed and designed. Well done!

I recommend this model

I had taken too big the first time (XL). now with the L it's extra. it is very comfortable and warm. the snap closures are a good plus. I strongly recommend this model of shirt.

great shirt

I'm female and 6ft tall. Was looking for a longer fit and sleeves to match so went for the Men's version. No complaints at all. Had this shirt for 2 years now and it has worn in very well. Material isn't itchy or course. Details I like are the inner G-1000 reinforcements to the cuffs, hem and inside of popper fastening. The shirt is windproof and very warm, sometimes if cold enough, I'll layer it over my Bergtagen woolterry hooded baselayer. Well placed popper pockets stop anything falling out when working and the popper fastening is easy to operate with gloves on or cold hands.

Great shirt, should last a long time

5'11'' 210 size large fits great. Ordered the Laurel color first, perfect pattern and layer for hunting. Ordered another with the blue, blue squares are brighter than pictured, but may fade with washing. Shirt is plenty thick, wouldn't layer well if it was any thicker. Made in Europe.

Snaps for cold fingers

5’10 210 lbs wearing a large. I’ll happily agree the shirt fits a tad long, but somehow the sleeves not as long as the overall length. Chest is well sized for those larger in chest and shoulders. I’ve read negative reviews about the material quality, not sure I agree. It may only be 1/4 wool, but that sure helps with the durability of wear. I work long days outside and unless it’s a very cold west coast(BC) day, this shirt with a long sleeved thermal is all I need. Material takes a beating in the brush as well. However a WARNING to bearded fellas. The inside of the top snap will 100% catch your beard. I own this shirt in 4 colours and it’s happened on all 4. A wee bead of glue around the edge of the snap seems to have saved me from randomly yelping in public any further.

Canada shirt for a Canadian

The first Fjallraven product I ever bought was the Canada shirt in the classic true to Canada red black plaid colour. I am 5’11’ and 215lbs. I bought this shirt in XL. Cons: the shirt is a little long in length for me but I don’t know if this shirt was ever made in a long or reg version. The label displays “XL, comfort fit” I was between the L and XL so I chose the XL for layering. Pros: Tough wool shirt! Comfortable! Warm! Colours never faded! Shirt never shrunk in the wash! Sleeves are long enough not to ride up. I always worry about snaps failing on garmets but the snaps on my shirt have yet to fail! Well done Fjallraven! I have used this shirt for years now for cutting wood, camping, ice fishing and general wear. I have no regrets on this purchase. I would definitely buy it again and that says a lot since I barely ever wear button up type shirts as I prefer pull over types with zip collars.
