The Fizik Tundra 2 Braided Carbon Saddle uses braided carbon fiber for the saddle rails rather than Fizik's standard K:ium rails. Though it's more expensive, the carbon rails will save you 35 grams, and you know how grams quickly add up. It also has a more flexible carbon reinforced nylon shell than the last generation Tundra Saddle. Even though it's designed as a mountain bike saddle, it works just as well on the road. The extra width in the nose offers that bit of extra support when you're "on the rivet."

The Tundra has low-profile foam padding, and it looks similar to their Arione, which we've seen on plenty of cross-country race rigs. The similarities are the length and the board flat top. The Tundra is a bit more square and a bit wider than the Arione (by about 3mm at the nose). Geoff Kabush was one such XC guy; he actually got their first Tundra prototype in early 2008 and rode it all the way to the Olympic mountain bike race.

The Fizik Tundra 2 Braided Carbon Saddle is 290mm long by 125mm wide and is Black/white. The Tundra possesses Fizik's Integrated Clip System (ICS), a means by which to attach a Fizik blinky light or a saddle bag directly to the saddle without the need for straps.
