    Allez allez!

Light, affordable, and comfortable don't always come in the same package, but Fi'zi:k has brought them all together under the banner of the Aliante R3 K:ium Saddle. A saddle that's been a favorite of road and 'cross riders for years, the R3 is a more affordable version of the R1, with much of the same technology built in. They both feature Fi'zi:k's TwinFlex body, which has a stiff border for support and a forgiving center to serve up cushioning where you most need it. The R3's TwinFlex is made from nylon and fiberglass, as opposed to the carbon of the R1, which delivers a modest difference in flex that's more than offset by the significant savings. Fi'zi:k also built the R3's rails from K:ium, a proprietary alloy that's lighter than titanium but cheaper and more durable than carbon. A Microtex cover finishes the saddle off with a smooth, sleek look and loads of durability, so you'll be able to keep your saddle fresh without having to baby it.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I'm somewhat of a novice cyclist and this is actually my first non-stock saddle so I can't really get too technical. All I can say is that my derriere thanks me for making the upgrade. And by "thanks" I mean it doesn't scream at me after (or during) my typical 5-10 mile ride. Looks pretty slick on my bike, too.

    roduct Review: fi’zi:k Aliante R3 K:ium

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

My name is Wesley Eslick, I am a 20 year old South African riding on the SoCalCycling.com Team in California, USA.

I have been fortunate enough to ride the new fi’zi:k Aliante R3 K:ium saddle for 2015. It’s Italian look as well as it’s non slip patch which sits towards the back of the saddle has made for a really comfortable ride and sleek design not to mention.

The fi’zi:k Aliante R3 K:ium comes in at a very light weight of 220 grams and it’s TWIN FLEX ™ Carbon Kevlar shell makes it a saddle for any level of rider and not just something for the pro’s. It’s stylish look will complement any bike no matter the color. The big advantage of the saddle is the shape allows you to move around as the road changes to fit your own personal riding style.

If you are looking to get a new saddle for your bike then the fi’zi:k Aliante R3 K:ium might just be the right saddle for you!
