We've heard you running around town bragging about how you're the sports renaissance man. Pavement, dirt, bike, board, and slackline. If you do it all, you should take a gander at the Five Ten Spitfire Shoe. The Spitfire is just like you; it does it all. Five Ten's sticky Stealth outsole keeps you stuck to your pedals, grip tape, or nylon webbing without leaving any trace that you were there.

Great pairs of bike shoes

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 5' 8"
    Weight: 170 lbs
    Size Purchased: 8.5

Nice looking shoes, sticky sole, not as sticky as the impacts but perfect for commuting and general fan riding around town. Would not use them in the trail because they get dirty very easy, I have the black/ white ones. Very comfortable, first couple of times I wore them I felt a sore spot on the left shoe, it was a piece of fabric that was folded the wrong way inside the shoe, unfolded it, and now I am a happy camper. I wear them all day.

Five Ten Shoes

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small

I have tried to purchase three different styles of 510shoes. I thought they would be like a skate shoe. Instead they look like a skate shoe, but they are very narrow. So if you are used to a skate shoe do not expect this to fit the same. I live in Omaha, NE and there are no stores that carry mountain bike shoes, all the bike shops just have clip in shoes for skinny wheels LOL.

Good Value/ Good Grip

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

For the price the shoes are holding up decent. I was worried about them being too stiff as well as having weird sizing based on the reviews, however i've had no issues. I'm a big fan of the mid top length for added ankle support. Having been dirt jumping and trail riding in them for the past few months the center of the sole is getting tore up from my pins. Interested to see how long the sole actually makes it.

great shoe, terrible sole.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I had these in black with the white sole and it blew out in under 2 months. Im convinced it was either a defect of something out of their control. Im trying the red pair with the black sole as i write this and will report back.

For the price, it's the best shoe for the money - from 5.10 at least. They just need to nail the rubber compound.

Lovely ankle support and don't look too ugly like most of their shoes....

fingers crossed my current pair will null this review.

Five Ten for Life

I replaced my Five Ten Freerider with the Spitfire. I made the switch because the spitfire has a softer tongue, which is definitely more comfortable on longer rides.

The only downside is that they are not as grippy with the Stealth C1 as the S1's were. It's great for trails and jumping for when I have to quickly move my feet. It was just nice to have the S1's grip like glue for DH.

Great shoes!!!!

The quality of the shoes is amazing, they are very well built, and durable. The tread is amazing as well,. very grippy, will work as a climbing shoe in a pinch.

These shoes are awesome. I was somewhat skeptical of how much a difference a pair of Five Tens would make, but I am a believer now. The first time I wore these out I was amazed at how sticky the soles are. I am a huge fan and would recommend these to anyone.

Great for the $

For the price, it doesn't get any better. After months of thrashing the hell out of these shoes on several rides a week, they've held up quite well. The sole is showing signs of thrash from the spikes in my pedals but they still stay stuck like glue.

True to size

I normally wear US12 in most shoes. My left foot is slightly longer than my right by like 5mm or so.

I ordered the US11.5 because everyone said they run big, but I find it is probably ever so slightly too small in the left foot.

If I was to order again I would get the size 12

But these shoes are great, I love the blue colour and they are super super sticky on my pedals for my mountain bike.

Avoid at any price.

The main seem along the inside of the left shoe failed after one week of wearing as walk around town shoes. The sole lacks any cushion or support. Deeply disappointed.

Are you sure that sole is "Stealth C4...

Are you sure that sole is "Stealth C4 rubber"? 'cause on official site( says sole is "Stealth S1"

i believe the black soles are s1, the white sole is phantom.

excellent quality

Like others have said, they seem to run at least a half size longer. Soles are good and sticky with just enough stiffness so that your feet don't sink around pedals. Build quality is excellent. One ride down a jump line and they are broken in.

Classic style, sticky, do everything

I got a pair of these in black as a casual/everyday wear alternative to the Impact Lows and I'm loving these shoes so far. They seem maybe a smidge stiffer than my Vans Valiants up to the front of the arch and about the same from the ball of the foot forward. Very comfy for everyday wear and seem to work very well on the bike tooling around the hood (haven't worn them on the trail yet, I've stuck w/ the Impacts for that so far). Pulled out my board yesterday and screwed around for a while in them and they seem like they'd work great for skating as well. They seemed to be solidly put together as well, I wouldn't expect them to fall apart before the soles are worn out.

Wish they had come w/ a second set of (white or grey) laces like the Impacts did, but that should be easy enough to remedy.

Sizing seems a little big, but not all that off, maybe a half size big for me. I usually wear a 12 in Vans and most Adidas and between an 11 and 12 in various styles of Docs. The 12 in the Spitfires are a bit long, I probably would have gone w/ an 11.5 if they were in stock, but they fit well enough to keep for me.

Five ten spitfire shoes

These shoes look great are comfortable and light but unfortunately are sized at least a size to a size and a half too large. I ordered size 11.5 first returned them for size 11's but still large but im keeping them anyway. I wear size 12's in adio's and DC's so am a bit pissed about this so only 2 stars especially for 90 dollars. Its buyer beware when ordering shoes or clothes online though i suppose.

After a month of good use

After a month of good use

Break in nicely. White sole discoloration adds character. Walk around a wet pool deck and they clean up.

Not all that durable

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large

They look great, but don't last that long. Inside of sole disintegrated. Heel developed holes. Dissappointed in the durability. Owned these and the Wild Blue Yonder - same performance. They ran a little wide in my opinion.

soft like butta

My brother bought a pair of these and he said they were comfortable. I was a little skeptical since I had tried the BA51C and found them to be very uncomfortable and un-supportive.
These on the other hand, er foot, rock! Super comfy, super sticky on the pedals and look great too.
