Beginner shoe

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I started climbing indoor at the beginning of the summer. I was using their rental shoes for the first month and I thought they were great at first. Then I bought these shoes so I could have my own shoes that didn't have other peoples sweat in them. The first time I went climbing I recognized the difference right away. I was doing lines that I hadn't ever tried before. The Stealth C4 Rubber is amazing. I bought a size 9 and I wear a size 8.5 but they have stretched out a bit and are now a little loose. So I would buy to size. I've worn them for almost 4 months now and they are still in great condition.

Great Beginner Shoe

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I bought these about 3 months ago as my first pair of climbing shoes. The velcro straps are awesome for climbing at a gym as they can slip on and off easily. I am a size 13 and that is the size that I ordered and they were a little tight at the beginning but stretched out perfectly. They won't stretch as much as a leather upper will, but they do stretch. I have seen and looked at a bunch of different climbing shoes and I found that the C4 rubber is the best in my opinion and I will be sticking with 5.10 for my shoes. Been climbing at a gym about 3 - 5 times a week in these shoes since I got them and they are holding up fantastically, but again, that is in a gym so they don't get beat up as much and I am not a very advanced climber so I don't put as much stress on them as a more advanced climber might.

Sizing

I generally wear a size US9 street shoe, and have a pair of size 9 Boreal climbing shoes. Ordered the same size in the Rogues and they're probably half a size too small. Just a warning for those who, like me, can't try a pair on before purchase.

The uppers are synthetic, and as such won't stretch.

Excellent shoe

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small

Great grip, fit, and looks. The shoe is comfortable and it will do the trick for most levels of climbers. I'm a beginner and this shoe has been a great friend so far.

I like it

Theres nothing special or high tech about it. But if you are an average climber like myself this shoe will do. Hard to grip on the tiniest dime footholds, but isnt that hard period ha. The best thing about this shoe is that its comfortable, i wear it all the time when im climbing, no need to take it off to give your toes a break. Also i have wide feet, and these still fit great. All in all, its a good comfortable shoe, bring along an aggressive shoe for some more intense stuff.

I have a pair Coyotes lace-ups, I use for my Friction mosty, with some slab and gym...I loved the stick of the C4 and the comfort of the coyote stretch in width , but looking for as as good or better preformance on Friction mostly, with alittle other abilities and not comfortabably all day/multi-pich with my wider feet...would you recommend the Rogue over the Coyote in My situation...If so what size...how much stretch??? I wear 10 1/2 street shoes I bought the Coyotes lace-ups New Comfortable size 11..lol they streached a good 1/2+ size! Thanks for Any advice!!!!
