Sizing vastly different from the Blues
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
- Size Bought:
- 11.5 US
- Height:
- 6' 1"
- Weight:
- 190
Didn’t see much about sizing in the other reviews, so offering my 2 cents. I loved the blue hiangles, and thought the sizing would roughly translate. Nope. The whites have a deeper/higher heel and feel vastly different from the blues. There is extra heel material that also extends higher. Fwiw, I wear 11.5 US in blues. Based on the size chart, I thought the same would work in the whites. Too small, not even close.

Greatest performance all rounder.
Incredible all rounder. Soft enough to have sensitivity but the stiff edge never deforms and maintains that precise toeing throughout the lifetime of the shoe.

Excellent bouldering shoe.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this model to replace my beloved gray/yellow synthetic HiAngles. A lot has changed with this model since then. The wider forefoot is great for my flat, wide feet, however the higher volume creates a lot of dead space....I should've went with the LV version but I'm satisfied with the fit overall. After reading reviews about sizing, I went with size 12 for a comfortable long session fit (street shoe is 11.5). After a few sessions, I feel like 11.5 would've been fine, and maybe 11 for a true performance fit. Overall, I'm very please with this version.

-30mm stated size
Hard to size right but theyre pretty consistent once you figure out that sizing measures 30mm shortwr than the stated chn size. Just put your foot against a ruler and scrunch to about the amount youre looking for add 30 mm to that and thats the size youre going to want to buy. Size 9 street shoe went with 11.5, stated size was 285 and the shoe came in measuring roughly 255 inside with a tape measure heel to toe. Super comfortable shoe once on though definitely tight, soft, heel can run deep so dont be afraid to be aggressive. 260mm in black d hurt me for awhile but 255 in hiangle broke in fast. Toe box volume is high in expectation of toe curl so factor that in. Heel hooks fantastic, bicycles lock in securely as the shoe fits extremely snug whilst staying comfortable. I wish there was a second closure strap and a midsole strip. A laced option would also be welcome imo but the split velcro would be a huge game changer for me if it were incorporated in the retail model

I like them
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Sized down 0.5 sizes. I was worried that it wouldn't fit - hurt a bit at the beginning - it's a performance fit. I like them. I haven't really had much to compare with within my year of climbing experience.

Pretty good shoe
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The heel fits perfectly! it's a great shoe i can use for indoor modern style boulder problems and outdoors. To add, I didn't need to size down to aggressively to get the performance fit I need.

Baggy with air pockets for narrow feet.
My shoe inventory includes the OG Moccasym (8.5), Blackwing (7.5), Hornet, (7), Team LE (8.5) and Team 510 (8). My street size is 8.5-9 depending on brand. Got the Hiangle in 8.5. Very tough to get into at first because of the tight opening but once on they are surprisingly SUPER comfy even with curled toes. For a technical fit, street size is perfect. For comfort, I would go up half a size. Unfortunately, these shoes aren’t great for narrow feet. Very high volume and baggy with loads of air pockets. Fits fine at the toes, too much upper mid to fore foot space, and loads of air pockets at the side of the heels. The shoes fart with every step I take. The heel also come up really high on the achilles though it doesn’t painfully dig into them. These Hiangle remind me a lot of the La Sportiva Solutions but not as painful. The Solutions were baggy and cut into my achilles so bad that they actually left scars. If you have narrow feet, I recommend the women’s/lower volume version.
