Description

Who clips in these days?

Some like to attract attention with their personal stylings, and for them, there's the Blue Zebra. However, if you like to let your riding tell your tale, then the Five Ten Freerider Shoe in Black/grey will do the trick. The understated colors will help you keep a low profile, that is, until you tailwhip over the big double at your local dirt jump spot and stick the pedals for a perfect landing.

Five Ten's Stealth Rubber was developed for rock climbing shoes. As such, it has excellent gription which makes it super easy to keep your feet on the pedals. Just think, no shinburger for dinner... again. It's also super durable. It had to be tough for climbing shoes to suffer the wear and tear from hard granite cliffs for days on end. The Freerider Shoes may just have a tougher job. They have to endure the prodding from the metal spikes on your pedals all day, but the Stealth Rubber can take it. Five Ten Stealth Rubber soles will outlast the gum rubber sole on a conventional skate shoe every time and stick better to your pedals all the while.

The Freerider Shoe has all the style that you want and the bomber sole that you need to land big tricks without blowing your pedals. The grey panels on the upper are made of brushed nubuck leather. The toe box is reinforced to alleviate major stubbage if you lose it in mid-air. And one of the coolest details is the California license plate on the back of the heel.

The Five Ten Freerider Shoe is available in Black/Grey and comes in half sizes from 7 - 13 except for a whole size jump from 12 - 13.

Outstanding grip is an understatement as most people know with 5.10's stealth rubber.

This shoe has a good balance of stiffness and grip for the mountain bike. I feel the shoe started off a bit to still for dirt jumping, skate park, and bmx but as they broke in, pedal feel became better.

I'd keep these on my feet for the trails but would still stick to my softer van's for bmx.

These shoes give so much traction it is unbelievable! I got these to replace my worn out 510 chases, and totally forgot what they are like. My old ones were fully smooth on the bottom and felt like slippers. Beat. But with a fresh pair, I feel near clipped in! And I'm missing half the pins in my pedals. I ride freestyle bmx, and don't like my feet moving. these are the shoes for me. If you like shifting your foot easily, look at something else. But these are tough, and comfortable, and look good. Haven't had any bruised heel issues either. They are the full meal deal!

I wear size 8 in Vans, so I ordered size 8 Freeriders and they fit perfect. These are a HUGE upgrade. The shoes stick like duct tape!

Love the shoe. I ride with them on a mt bike with VP Component flat pedals and I think I'll need to remove some of the pins in the pedals because the intersection between shoe and pedal is surprisingly tight. With all the pins in the shoe has to be lifted off the pedal to adjust placement. However, with such good grip I can pedal on more than just the down stroke so maybe leave the pins in? I haven't walked in the shoe more than a few steps so I don't know about walking comfort. Size is about normal.. I ordered my usual shoe size and these fit fine.

I've been through 2 pair of Freeriders and I'm currently working on a pair of Spitfires. I can get a year out of them with aggressive riding several times a week through all seasons. The Freeriders are the best riding shoe for flats hands down. Super comfortable, great fit, not to stiff, mega-grip.

Sticks like glue to even mediocre flats and mine have held up great over several months of beating on them. Fit is true to size.

If you don't already know you have to try these shoes. The only problem might be the annoyance of sticking to the pedals so well it can be hard to adjust foot placement. Ill take that over the alternative every time.

I wore Vans for years as my preferred shoe for mountain biking. But it took just a couple rides with my new Five Ten Freeriders to convince me to never look back. Like so many other reviews have stated, these shoes are super grippy; especially with my Twenty6 Products pedals. Amazing! I am now hooked on Five Ten.

Insane grip, perfect stiffness, and super comfortable. Can't ask for more in a riding shoe. I much prefer flats to clipless and wear these for everything from XC rides on my hardtail to chairlift laps on my big bike.

Will never go back to Vans or anyother shoe. You get what you pay for, these are worth the extra cash over the cheaper competition.

No complains at all. They stick like glue to my pedals and are super comfortable as well.

FYI: For sizing I wear a 11 in nike and a 10.5 in these.

They are good shoes. The front toe stitching did not last long. I would recommend these shoes to everyone if the price was not so high. Good shoes but too much money.

I am a chick and I wear womens size 8 and boys size 6. I tried on some boys DC's and size 6 was too small but mens size 7 worked. Any idea if ordering a size 6 would work?

My pair are of 5.10 are 1/2 size larger than my DC's so I'd guess yes.
