Barely There on your Harness

This is the perfect shoe to clip to your harness for the long descent off of a multi pitch climb..... Great Yosemite Descent Shoe. Maybe not the most supportive for Heavy Loads, but great for there intended use... carrying up to get down..... And they climb better any other approach shoe I have used.
How does the sizing run? I generally wear a 10.5 with sneaks,
How does the sizing run? I generally wear a 10.5 with sneaks, but was thinking of sizing down to a 10 in these for climbing for when I don't require my climbing shoes. Any thoughts? I don't want boot bang when walking off the top. Thanks

These are an awesome shoe. Great for sketchy descents, and for short approaches to climbing areas. They're not very supportive, so you may get a bit sore from a long slog with a heavy load. I used these shoes daily working on a ropes course, and they climb super well, and were awesome to use every day. The durability I found is a little so so. The rubber wears like iron, but the thing is though, the mesh doesn't. I destroyed these in about a year of heavy duty abuse. I absolutely love the shoe, and am willing to put up with replacing them yearly just because they work so well for what I do.

These shoes feel great on your feet. Super light and breathe well. I've worn them for climbing (up to 5.8, had to change to climbing shoes for the 5.9), light hiking and most recently for playing around the slot canyons in Escalante. They work great. Lots of traction, the stealth rubber is amazing, allowing me to walk down sandstone faces where others in my group were sliding. On top of functioning as promised, these shoes looked pretty darn cool. I have the men's shoe, but saw a climbing guide in Castle Rock SP wearing the woman's version and those looked great to. I've rated these five stars because I love them and they do what they are supposed to do. Only issue is that the mesh on these doesn't hold up to the abuse that the rest of the shoe can take. I got my foot wedged into some cracks and now have some worn-through spots in the mesh. Not great, but the shoe wasn't meant for wedging in a sandstone crack.
