Anasazi VCS Climbing Shoe

The Five Ten Anasazi VCS Climbing Shoe is perhaps the most adept all-around climbing shoe ever made, which is likely the reason it's also the best selling performance shoe ever made. The medium-stiff midsole combines with the stealth Onyxx rubber for lethal edging ability while the dual hook-and-loop straps make on and off an easy operation.

Didnt fit my semi wide asymmetric foot

I haven?t wanted to like a pair of shoes more than these. These seemed like the perfect allrounder that would fit my type of climbing. I also hate the trend of super bright colored climbing shoes, so the plain neutral colored look of these made me want them even more. Despite trying out 4 sizes I just came to the conclusion these aren?t for me. The shape of the toe box is too narrow and it forces your big toe towards the center too much if your foot is asymmetrical. So much that it crammed my big toe underneath the toe next to it. It made standing on a small edge extremely painful and caused me to lack a ton of support from my other toes. The next size up was just a little too lose and subsequently wasn?t tight enough to allow for good edging. Sadly my hunt for a great allrounder continues. If you have normal/narrow symmetrical feet these may work for you, but if you?re foot is on the wider spectrum and more asymmetrical these probably won?t work for you.

I?ve climbed in these since the first iteration.. my first ?nice pair of shoes? and first shoe to climb 5.15, ha.. really, one of the best all-time designs of a climbing shoe out there. Superb edging and heel hooking, secure on the foot, precise and comfortable for long days too. Worn ?em around the world, from the desert to Yosemite to Fontainebleau. Always in the bag.
