Nice pack, but too small; specs wrong

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

I recently purchased this pack. I was excited by the value it seemed to present over the Orvis Guide Sling ($159.00) and I own other Fishpond products so I am comfortable with their form factor and quality. When I received this pack, I was happy with the quality and features, but it seemed very small. I am a fly and conventional fishing angler so I wanted a larger sized sling pack that would handle both fly boxes/supplies and typical Plano style 3600 sized boxes. I checked the specs on the Fishpond website and it shows there that it is only 9L, but the Backcountry listing shows as 16L. While I liked the pack quality, style and features more than the Orvis, I sent it back and kept the Orvis because it would not be useful for my purposes. So, if you need a small-medium sized fly fishing sling, this will do just fine, but be aware that the specs are not accurate.

Great Bag

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This is my first sling pack, and I don't think I'll ever go back to lumbar packs. Fit is easily adjustable, plenty of storage, swings around easily but stays put while hiking out to the stream. My only gripe is the net sheath. My hand net falls out of it fairly easily if I'm not careful. A long-handle net would stay in much better. Also kinda difficult to get the net back in the sheath without swinging the bag around front.
