Fischer Watea 101 Alpine Ski - 2009 BCS
Available Colors / Styles
It dumped last night. Grab your Fischer Watea 101 Alpine Ski and get ready to float the great white. The sweet thing about the Watea 101 is that when the powder gets tracked-out, you’re good to go on the cord.
- Modified swallow tail helps the tail sink in powder (so the tip pushes up for quick turns) without the tail having a full-blown, all-pow split (so you can ski other conditions too)
- Floaty shovel handles the soft stuff and the hardpack
- Carbon-fiber I-Beam imbedded in wood core boosts torsion and stability when it gets steep or manky
- Double titanal shell and air carbon for sweet edge-hold
Bottom Line: Charge the deep.

This is honestly one of my favorite skis in just about any conditions. As a former east coast bred racer I am at home on bulletproof ice and this ski is not half bad on it but not it's niche. Every other snow condition is! Hardpack groomers on Whiteface to chest deep powder at Alta this ski is hungry for it all. I have a diamir freeride plus mounted on them so I can take them anywhere and everywhere. Don't be afraid to get them big either. I ski them in 192cm and can pull off tight technical moves in chutes and open it up on groomers or lining snowfields and bowls. Brilliant tip to tail wood core and vertical racing sidewalls do the trick for this guy with a forgiving sweetspot that can get you out of more trouble than it will get you in to. Like I said this ski is a RIPPER!

Great for mixed conditions
These are fat enough to float in powder, but also carve nicely at speed on the groomers. Able to handle powder, carved up crud and groomers.
