Light, simple, and solid.

We've been waiting, and Fischer has finally entered the alpine touring game with a full line of gear that runs the gamut from heavy freeride touring gear to ultra-lightweight ski mountaineering set ups. Needless to say, we're excited about Fischer's Tour Race binding, which is built for the gram counting ski mountaineer. Painted with a yellow that compliments their touring specific AlpAttack ski, Fischer's first tech binding brings a fresh look to the usually stale demeanor of tech bindings. Plus, at only eight ounces per pair, the Race Tour is one of the lightest bindings on the market that meets ISMF racing standards.

The toe piece is fitted with an ergonomic front lever with a small nylon bearing making for ultra-smooth transitions between walk and ski mode. The lightweight heel piece offers 360° of rotation, so you don't have to stop to think which way you need to turn the heel piece. The simple flap design flips over the hardened titanium U heel pins for a quick transitions from ski to walk mode, and provides three different positions from climbing, skiing, and a boot on the ski for flat terrain. The bottom line? An ultra-light binding with confidence-inspiring release values for the decent, and a simplistic design for even faster transitions at the summit.
