Powered by a bombproof wood core that's surprisingly lightweight and nimble, the 106mm-waisted Fischer Porohete Alpine Ski shines in powder and holds its own all over the mountain. This ski is at home in the steep and deep, and the wide waist creates a stable platform for stomping cliffs and skiing fast. The Porohete also has enough sidecut and torsional stiffness to provide solid edge hold on groomers, while the ski’s lightweight gives it surprising agility in the trees and bumps.
Bottom Line: The Fischer Porohete 106s ski like a gentle giants anywhere on the mountain.

Flash forward 1 year... 3 compressed edges from moderate impacts. Great if you like rockless pow skiing at Vail. Look elsewhere for a real big mountain ski that stands up to abuse.
Change me.
