Come hungry.

A good mountain is like a good buffet—it has a little bit of everything, and it's up to you to sample it all. If skiing is a multi-cuisine free-for-all, the Fischer Koa 84 Women's Ski is a knife, spoon, fork, and chopsticks all rolled up into one, making it the perfect utensil to chow down on soft snow, gobble up groomers, and slurp down some steeps.

As part of Fischer's line of skis for intermediate to advanced ladies, the Koa 84 counts itself as the biggest plank in the family. Its 84mm waist doesn't exactly designate it as a fatty, rather an ideal everyday option for East Coast and Midwestern rippers skiing inconsistent snow on and off piste, and it's a solid choice for West Coasters looking for a hardpack ski that doesn't shy away from a little adventure off piste, too. Fischer's Freeski rocker combines a rockered tip with a moderately raised tail and camber underfoot, so you can float over fluff and pivot through tight trees without giving up serious edge bite on hard snow. Smooth-flexing and lively poplar wood gives you a buttery luxury car ride with nimble sports car handling, and the high-tech Air Tec milling process reduces core material, and the corresponding weight, without affecting the ski's flex.

Metal didn't really have a place in such a lively, supple ski, so Fischer opted to provide the backbone via a Fiber Tech fiberglass laminate, which keeps the Koa stiff enough to ski hard without overwhelming lighter skiers or demanding all-out aggression. It also designed the ski with the Women's BMP, which is a binding mount point that's located slightly forward to better adapt the ski to women's lower center of gravity. By adapting the ski to women's biomechanics, Fischer ensures you won't be fighting to stay forward and initiate strong turns, instead providing you with increased control and less likelihood of early fatigue.
