Addict Alpine Ski

The Fischer Addict Alpine Ski is a returning park-and-pipe favorite, but it secretly rocks all over the mountain. A true twintip (it's totally symmetrical for easy switch riding), the Addict has reinforced edges and durable 25-degree angled sidewalls that come in handy when you stick rails and press boxes all day long. Outside of the park, the dual-titanal structure and Fischer's all-wood core means you can bomb groomers with authority, but the lifted tail makes these planks easy to shuffle around in bumps and tight trees. It smokes the park with dedication, but the Addict's versatility might just make it the perfect all-mountain freestyle ski.

Bottom Line: Don't tell your bros what makes the Fischer Addict so sweet—they'll learn by watching you.

Coming off of 12 years of being more of a racer and never touching the park, this was a great ski to pick up. It's a great ski for groomers, and for a beginner in the park, i had a ton of fun on them. they're really durable and are stiffer then most, but it keeps you really stable at high speeds. not the best in powder since i mounted mine only 1cm back from center, but i could make due. I've had a ton of fun on these skis so far. Only complaint is that the top sheet is already chipping and what not and that was before they even touched the park

I agree with Brian, the top sheet chips easily...

SPINNING AND CARVING SWITCH MACHINES!!

By:
January 25, 2008

I had a few doubts about this ski originally but they grew on me quick.. I mean FAST. second day. I was laying down perfect turns backwards. SICK. Take it to the park and these skis just float off jumps switch and stomp forward landings. Recommend center mounting the ski as it is asymmetrical. The 181 cm is really 178 so the 172 might be a 169, 170 in reality. There is a metal reinforcement plate underfoot to hold edges better after tons of rails and the best part is the bottom, lime green see through to wood core base. way rad.

Are these too stiff to stomp landings? I want to ride the rest

Are these too stiff to stomp landings? I want to ride the rest of the mountain, but I have carvers for that. I was looking at these, Line Invaders, Line Chronics or PE's. Any suggestions?

I don't want to sound condescending here, but it's clear whoever answered before hasn't landed any large jumps switch. There really isn't such a possibility as "way to [sic] stiff" when you botch a landing off of a 60 foot table top. A ski like the Invader is great if one is landing perfectly every time, but leaves little room for error on large and fast jumps. I bought 181cm Addict Pros specifically for a Big Air competition later this spring and am excited for how they'll help.

GREAT SKIS!

By:

I have these skis in the 172 and they are amazing. They are extremely light and a great all mountain ski. I only do a little in the park and from what i've experienced they are way sick. I usually only do trees and chutes and occasionally moguls, but once i took them in the park i couldn't leave. They are way fun. The addicts do extremely well everywhere on the mountain. Only problem i noticed is that the top layer chips off a little bit on the top edges but it isn't a big deal, only a tiny chip but that happens with most skis and its fine and if it is really that bad Fischer is great about returns. I don't mind cuz the bottom edges are still in really good shape. Fischer is great about returns so if this bothers you, you can send them in and they'll give you a brand new pair. l'd highly recommend this ski if you are looking for something to use all over the mountain. And yes i would have to agree the graphics and lime green base are dope.
