The Filson Twill Sportman's Bag will hold a few days' worth of supplies when the zombie apocalypse forces you from your home ... or when you just want to get out of town for the weekend with your main squeeze. The subtly sophisticated bag neither screams "slob" or "come steal me" due to high-performance material molded into a fairly sedate duffel shape. Brawny 22oz cotton twill won't crack under pressure and keeps its good looks even after being shoved under the seat-back in front of you or in the overhead bin with rolling bruisers and busted shopping bags.
Two full-length exterior pockets contain four vertical slots. On one side, the slots are open-bottomed to accommodate tall items like water bottles or anti-dead spray. The other side sports closed-bottomed vertical slots so your silver bullets, power cords, and travel-size tubes of sunscreen stay segregated. Inside the main compartment, two span-out panels give you the opportunity to prevent filthy socks from fighting with clean shorts. Brass zippers go both ways so accessing your stuff shouldn't really be an issue, and the bridle leather shoulder strap comes off if you're gate-checking your bag.
