Medical device, tacticool

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

need to check pupillary reaction in the field or office?
need to inspect an oropharynx for a strange lesion?
how about skin inspection for a weird dermatophytoses?

the fact that this has adjustable modes means that on the lowest setting I won't permanently blind people (still, shine it indirectly not dead on into the eye. Even on low it's bright as hell)

it takes double A batteries so you can find those literally everywhere from san francisco to Tunis (true story). If you havin' light problems I feel bad for you son, I've got 99 problems, but poor illumination isn't one.

I own three of these

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

If you want a super durable light that's waterproof, versatile, and long lasting, this is your light! I have one I keep around the house, one in my car, and I have a PD35 mounted on a gun. They are very bright and have a heavy-duty feel to them. I guarantee you'll be happy with this flashlight. I prefer the LD22, but if you want a flashlight that's a little shorter and wider, then try the PD35.

Excellent lamp

Very bright and the battery life times are as advertised. I use mine for running (prefer it to a head torch because you get more definition with a light source not coming from your head) and as a cycle light. I haven't tested how waterproof it is yet.
