There's not a lot of wishy-washing or fuddy-duddling when it comes to the Faction Thirteen Ski, nor is there a lot of turning, stopping, buttering, or jibbing. The Thirteen's designed to do two things: go fast, and go straight. The 194 is particularly bowel-loosening, seeing as it boasts a 49m turn radius that makes you wonder if its parents were a guided missile and a steel I-beam. At 29m, the 184 is considerably more manageable for smaller, less iron-legged riders, but still likes to push the speed limits—let 'em run, and they'll reward you
Both iterations come with Faction's XL tip rocker and flat camber and tails, letting you mach over chop and chunder and rail big-mountain turns at face-melting speeds without worrying about your tails washing out or your skis getting chattery and bucking you face first over that cliff band. The poplar and ash core and sandwich construction won't disintegrate after big-time hucks or the occasional rock tag, and the P-Tex 4000 bases are fast, rugged, and easy to repair (not that you're ever going to hit anything, of course).
