The Faction Royale Ski is a powder skiers dream for the deepest of days and the biggest of airs. With a 122mm waist, float in the deep is guaranteed, especially with the generous 15mm high and 300mm long rocker in the tip and tail. Adding some stability to a fat, playful ski is essential for today's rippers, and Faction did that for the Royale by giving it a flat camber underfoot and a stiff flex with vertical sidewalls and sandwich construction. A minimal taper of only 10mm from front to rear also gives this ski an even swing weight and excellent switch ability in powder. For pure powder domination and a stable platform when the snow isn't quite ideal, the Royale will have you feeling like a king.

I have the OPUS 185, Is this ski just a rockered out OPUS? Also is this a center mount ski? Also Im recovering from ACL replacement and the 185 Opus is to much for my leg this year and the center mount is killing me. Would anyone recommend the 168 or 175 for some relief and a weak leg. 5'11" 220# My quiver is Moment Bellafonte's 184 and Opus 185s with Dukes and Look Pivots respectively. Advanced NOT a pro. No one watches my videos but me. Mainly ski Taos, Wolf Creek, Durango, and Silverton.

Thanks Bo

They are similar skis for sure. I think the Ash in the Faction skis make the skis more poppy and playful. The Opus Maple construction will make them more stiff, slightly more of a charger. This ski is flat underfoot versus the camber, so all around its a more playful jibby type of ski.
