With no extra frills and a tough, travel-friendly design, the Ex Officio Men’s Streamliner Field Pant stands up to anything you can throw at it. A Teflon finish helps the Streamliner resist water, stains, and wrinkles, while the gusseted crotch gives you unrestricted movement. Security zip cargo pockets store your passport, pocket knife, or energy bars.

Bottom Line: Resist the roughness of life on the move with the Streamliner.

Only one rear pocket!!!!!

By:

Only one rear pocket- what is this, some attempt at leading edge fashion? Real men want two rear pockets, as only one rear pocket looks goofy.

If there were two rear pockets I would have given this 5-stars. I had to return the pants, as I don't envision a career as a bullfighter or a fandango dancer.

Very comfortable

I got these pants not too long ago, and they have already proven themselves. These pants have seen rain, snow, stream crossings, and almost 50 miles of under-maintained trail. The rain just beads up and rolls off of these pants! The pockets are well placed, and there is a smaller pocket inside the right cargo pocket where I have been putting my compass.

My only gripe about these pants is that the zipper pulls are too small for numb hands (lost my gloves one day), to remedy this, I have taken some old boot lace and lengthened the pulls!

Other than that, these are great pants, very sharp looking, and very functional!

I have bought stuff from you guys before. I just got a Ex-officio

I have bought stuff from you guys before.
I just got a Ex-officio pant off exofficio.com for $59 on sale with free shipping. Your SALE price is $67 or something. You gotta assume the customer would be smart enough to check the home site. Any, I'm not big expert, but feel when u say "sale" and advertise it like a 30-70% off pls make sure it truly is a better deal for the customer otherwise u lose credibility. I do like u guys and the service has been great. Good luck.

These pants are great for a multiple of environments. Currently working in a desert environment and these pants are cool and durable, a lot better than the 5-11s. While working in a tropical environment they breathe and keep those pesky insects away. They are easy to care for. The laundry service here is not too great. I get them back all wrinkled but the wrinkles come out after wearing them for only a few minutes. I bought the medium waist and medium length and they fit fine. I’m 32” in the waist and 32” inseam. Not tight and not too long. Someone that is a 34” waist would still fit in these due to the elastic waist band. I only used for about a month in both climates but to date they have held up with no durability issues. I like the fact that all the cargo pockets and back pocket have zippers; I’m not a fan of Velcro. I will continue to buy these in the future because I am always working in a hot climate that is either humid or arid. They are ideal for both.

I too miss the standard Amphi pant. My first pair lasted me 10 years and I still wear them though they are pretty thread bare and have been sewn together after a few major snag tears. I bought two more pair just after Ex Officio announced they were discontinuing them. They are the only two pair of pants I were, literally. One pair got snagged this summer and tore a 6 inch rip which was easy to sew and does not show. I love the mesh brief too. I'll try these Streamliners only because the price is right. But why Ex Officio killed the original Amphi I'll never know.

Hi Ron,
While we don't make the Amphi any longer there is the Nio Amphi pant which uses the same great material, but has a removable belt as well. Also, the mesh brief was removed.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the review. This pant reminds me of the Ex Officio Nylon Amphi pant that is no longer in production or in stores. It is very lightweight, has great side pockets on the thighs as well as the standard ones, and has a tie-in at the hem. I have one left and I treasure it. It is a collector's item. Ex-Officio, won't you produce more???

Nice and lightweight

I like the really lightweight, breathable fabric. That's definitely the biggest plus of these pants. However they look a little more techy in person than they do on the site. The elastic waistband is hidden pretty well if you wear a belt or shirt over it.
