We have gone through so many zip-out pants. I have ordered so many zip-out pants & returned them. I took the hubby to the bc warehouse to try many on & these were the favs. They look great & love the longer short.

Anybody know why these must be washed...

Anybody know why these must be washed separately from other clothes? The pesticide label that comes with the pant says they should and I can only assume this means they shed permitherin (which I guess should not accumulate in other clothing because it becomes hazardous). I know permethirin is used in the common treatment of scabies and kills bees, other insects and is dangerously toxic to cats and fish in particular, as well as all aquatic life, but I can't find any studies about these clothes and the affects they have on cats or fish. Anyone know? Thanks. On the plus side however, these are very very comfortable pants.

I would think it would have to do with the water-stain resistant treatment to keep that from getting into your other clothes. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. These were the ones that fit my husband the best & I would have washed them with everything else before reading this.

If I could give these six stars I would. For the price you really can't get a better convertible pant. The material is thin and light but do well in the brush; they also provide excellent wicking. After several days of hiking I had little if any chapping. Also, I have found that many convertible pants don't zip off easily and are difficult to put back on - this is not the case for these. I was recommended these from a fly fishing friend who had a pair for 4 years and can't be happier. If you are looking for a convertible pant; BUY THESE.

These are really comfortable and super lightweight pants. These will get a ton of use come warmer weather. The pocketing is excellent, roomy and lots of them. I really like the zip closed back pockets for the extra security on trails. Nice length when the lags zip off. Nice integrated belt plus zippers on the lower legs, nice for changing to shorts without removing shoes. I'm 6'1", 190 lbs and the size 34 had a really nice leg length, alot of these pants have slightly shorter inseams, this one is nice and long.

I just got these and they feel great! I like the zippered pockets and the leg bottoms. I wear a 36W 30inseam and though I thought they might be too long, they fit me just right with shoes on.

Great material and relativity easy to convert pants to shorts. Wear them out climbing and sailing and are great for both (the waterproofing comes in handy for the later). Even makes for a good quick drying swim suit after the long races. They are a bit long for me but not enough that it has been a problem

these pants are great.the material is light and cool and the fit is perfect.belt looks crappy(though it works fine) but i own a belt so not fussed about that.the hems can be pulled tight which i love as it helps keep tics etc from my "soft spots" when in the bush.overall...a fine pair of pants.

I really wish these came in Short, Regular, Tall versions because they fit well in the legs. Really comfy material so I hated to return them.
