The Ex Officio Insect Shield Hiker Socks have all the features you expect from a pair of technical hiking socks, plus they keep the bugs away from your feet and ankles. Wear the Hiker Socks hiking in the forest, and then wear them in the fishing boat to keep ankle-biting insects at bay. Ex Officio uses a blend of Merino wool and synthetics to provide cushioning and moisture management while you hike. Ex Officio's insect repellent treatment lasts for about 25 washes.

Write your question here...I just received the hiker socks for my husband who wears a size 12 shoe and the socks are a size M and I think fits up to a size 8 1/2. Does the socks come in a bigger size or will these fit my husband's feet? I bought these for a Christmas gift. Thanks.

Hmm. It looks like you need size L for your hubby. The L fits sizes 9-12. If he's any bigger than a 12, I'd go with an XL. If you have any other questions, click on the Chat Now button above and someone can help you.

I wore a couple pairs of these socks exclusively on a week long trek in Peru and a week long rainforest excursion and never suffered any bites at all. The BUZZ OFF stuff works wonders, as I was the only one of my party not to be suffering. Now if I would have only brought BUZZ OFF gloves I wouldn't have gotten any bites at all!
