ExOfficio Insect Shield Halo Check Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Women's - 2008 BCS

I was surprised by how well made this shirt really was. Lots of attention to tiny details, like the snap loops for rolling sleeves and vented back. I will definitely buy more of this brand. The material is very comfortable and quick drying. Fit true to size. Perfect for my kayak river trips. I wish it came in more color patterns. I'm happy with the bug protection so far (one washing).

I really wanted to love this shirt, but I just can't. The good: The fabric feels very lightweight, the back is vented, the colors are nice. The bad: The sleeves are enormous - I could probably fit 2-3 arms in one sleeve, when as it turns out, I only need to put one arm in each. Also, I find the cut of the shirt to be extremely ugly. I know it is intended to be used outdoors where function should come before fashion, but really, I don't want to dress like my grandma. Sizing seems to run just a tad on the large size in my opinion too.

Wore this shirt on a camping trip over the 4th of July. weekend. This shirt gives very good protection in mosquito country, and it is very confortable to wear. Will not hesitate to buy another.

G-r-eat shirt, just love it! It has a silky feel, packs well, drys wicked fast , no wrinkles ... and is very flattering in cut. Def want more, puts my other shirts to shame. BTW, I'm a buxom freckle face, fits my curves and protects my skin. I mostly bought it for sun protection. Ex Officio has just moved to the front of the line in beloved long sleeve brands. Will let you know if it proves effective against insects, no bonus data yet.

My first halo shirt (a solid color which i still love) is a tad small. So I sprung for a medium. Its huge! The chest is five inches larger than the small. Im confused that others wrote that theirs ran small, when the one I got was so unexpectedly big. Also be aware that the fuschia check is mostly orange looking. Its NOT hideous, but it IS orange.

I originally bought this shirt in an xs because I needed this size in other Ex Officio shirts. This particular product runs small and I had to return it for a size small which fits perfect. I love the the hidden button down collar that stops the collar from curling up on the ends after being washed and hung to dry. My only wish is that it had buttons instead of snaps on the cuffs and front closure.

This is great for the daytime, and for those warm, buggy nights by the water. Keeps you from looking like a giant human polka-dot.
