Ex Officio's Women's String Bikini Underwear makes living out of a backpack a little easier. They're treated with anti-microbial finish, so you can go a few days between washes. Ex Officio's underwear is so breathable and quick-drying that it air dries in a few hours—wash as you go and carry fewer pairs. Just be careful about offending locals by hanging underwear on your balcony.
Bottom Line: The Ex Officio String Bikini is the very definition of easy livin' underwear.
The material is great. Its easy to wash, breathable, and dries quick. The fit is weird though. i got the size xsmall and I definitely don't have a flat ass, but it does that baggy butt bunching thing as if there is too much material. Maybe it meant for an even bigger xsmall sized butt! Also the stitching started to give way after 1 wash.
These are great underwear for long trips when you have little access to showers. They were very comfortable and dried quick when I got them wet. The only recommendation is not to get white if you plan on getting them dirty, such as swimming in them, cause they won't stay white and you can't get stains out. Otherwise they were great!

I think these sizes run big. I normally where a size small (by Victoria's Secret sizing), so I bought the small size. Comparing the two, the Ex-Officios are about 2 inches wider in circumference! I'll have to see how the extra-smalls come. (I put 3 stars because they seem good, but I haven't had a chance to try yet!)
I got these in a small (I am a US women's 4-6, and a size 27-28 in jeans) and while they are SUPER comfortable, the sizing is a little bit weird. They are pretty high cut on the leg (to be expected, as they ARE a string bikini), which is fine... but the booty area is where the problem lies. The BACK seems to be equally high cut, and rather narrow. I am tall with a long torso so if anything, my underwear usually sit LOWER than the average gal's, but these I had to pull up kind of high in order to avoid "diaper butt" (where the rear/crotch area sort of just bunches up at the bottom, like a diaper). Seems like these would fit better if there were a tad bit less material where the rear and crotch meet, and a tad more material in the back, width-wise. All this being said, I still give them 4 stars as they are REALLY COMFORTABLE (especially for a string bikini, s style I usually despise)- no digging in at the hips as I worried they might. Also, they dry faster than the Ex Officio boycut briefs, simply because there is less material that has to dry- so if you are washing in a sink at night and hanging to dry, you may want to keep that in mind. I wouldn't plan to wear these under anything tight (yoga pants) unless you don't mind showing off your diaper booty and VPL- but under looser shorts (hiking, soccer, basketball) or pants you'll be fine.
I've gone on over 6 mi runs in these. Very light, decent wicking, dries super duper fast. Launders easily (done both machine and hand), very durable, breathes very well. The V string bikini cut would be very flattering but on this panty it is too long. I wear a S for my size 4 butt that is round and juts rather than being long and stretched-out. The material gathers at the crotch but it is so soft it is still very very comfortable. Just less flattering. I am 5'3" and would recommend it for taller girls / girls with longer pelvises. Grabbed a pair in the butterfly pattern and have had no problems with dirt.
I got 2 pairs of these in black. I was reading everyone's comments about them being a size larger, but I decided to stick with medium (I typically wear a medium for pants/underwear) and they fit nicely. They dont dig into your hips or have any uncomfortable spots at all. The only thing about them is, one reviewer mentioned diaper butt... there is a little of that going on for me. I dont have a big butt so maybe thats why, but there was some extra fabric there for me. But other than that I like them alot. They are comfy to run/work out/do yoga in, but the real test will be when I go on my weeklong backpacking trip
I love the cut on these Ex Officio undies. Very flattering, wicks away moisture like a champ, awesome for traveling. bring 2 pairs of these and you're totally covered, easy to hand wash and dries quickly.
