Sun and bug protection that doesn't compromise style.

The Ex Officio BugsAway Paisley Bandana is a beautiful way to protect yourself from bugs when you're hiking, backpacking, camping, or paddling. This lightweight cotton bandana has non-toxic, odorless Insect Shield repellent built in for long-lasting, effective, and convenient bug protection. As a bonus, it protects your skin from the sun's harmful UV rays, too.

Not sure if it truly works

Took these camping up in the Tetons and there were mosquitoes landing on the bandana. Combined it with a lot of bug spray and was able to prevent from getting bitten, but not sure the bandana itself did much...

      Keep the mosquitoes at bay

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got the ExOfficio buzz off paisley bandanna for a recent trip to the Bahamas, so help keep the mosquitoes away and it worked like a charm. It doesn't smell funny or anything like that, the bug repellent treatment is essentially invisible to humans. This will be great for hiking, camping, kayaking, etc when it's buggy.

Can't say enough good things about this bandana. I wore this little guy countless times while backpacking in Denali to repel mosquitoes (especially near lakes and rivers) as well as to keep from getting sunburnt while trekking across the snow in the bright sunlight. It works well as a windstopper too if you wear it high and over your nose and mouth. When not in use it folds up nicely inside of my pack. The cotton material breathes really well for hiking which is a definite must. I snagged the bronze green color and it goes with just about everything!
