Wear the quick-drying, comfortable Ex Officio Give-N-Go Boxers when you hike, backpack, or travel.

The Ex Officio Men's Give-N-Go Boxer Brief is the one pair you'll pack every time. These breathable boxers air dry in a few hours so you can wash as you go and carry fewer pairs. Made from Give-N-Go Stretch, these three inch inseam briefs move with you and wick perspiration, which makes them as ideal for traveling or backpacking. Ex Officio treated these boxer briefs with an anti-microbial finish, so if you can't do laundry for a day or three, your boxers won't offend.

    Okay

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large

I purchased these boxers just before I went on vacation to Europe. I will say that they are comfortable but do run a little baggy and a snugger fit would better suit them. The reason for this is that while on vacation I was walking a lot and the inside of my legs began to chafe causing irritation because the underwear did not completely cover them. I have however purchased underwear that from different brands that seem to wrap around both legs so when your legs run against one another it is the underwear rubbing and not your legs. If they were a bit tighter they would be much better.

    Super Comfy

These are great boxers. Everyone loves them, and for good reason. There's none better. So stop wasting time. Buy them. Every minute you waste reading through these 5 star reviews is a minute that could have been spent basking in the soul-filling luxury that these drawers provide. Go.

    feeel amazzzzzing

These feel terrific. I bought them cause i feel like i should be throwing out old boxers. I mean, after so many washes and years of use, I feel like everyone should throw out their old briefs and purchase new one. So i did and these does not Disappoint.

      Made for human butts

Seriously, why does a guy like me have such a hard time finding underwear that are made for a actual human butt. Why do so many designers insist making low-rise or underwear that do not consider that humans have butts, they must assume we are just a bunch of mannequins?
These are indeed meant for humans!

BTW, the "heather" versions are 49% polyester, 47% Nylon 4% Lycra and feel just slightly more stout than the regular (not-heather) version 96% nylon, 4% Lycra

      AMAZING

These are the most comfy boxer briefs I've ever worn they are snug in the leg and don't ride up but leave plenty of room up higher so you don't feel so restricted. i used to not like boxer briefs because they were so tight but these have plenty of freedom and are perfect for any activities.

      Boyfriends favorite boxer

I bought a few of these boxers for the boyfriend two and a half years ago for a two month backpacking trip to South America and not only did these boxers hold up for those two months but they look brand new after two and a half years of washing and wearing them. Must have for every male!

Sorting results by the community rating is a field I use every time I am searching something on Backcountry.com. With that in mind, I would always stumble upon these boxer briefs at the very top of the ratings. The absurd amount of reviews always caught my eye, so of course I had to give them a try myself to see what the hype was about! These things are unlike any brief I have owned before. They do fit a bit looser than other boxer briefs that I own, but I that is part of what makes them so comfortable. Even though they are slightly more loose, they are definitely still considered a brief. On day 1 I went skiing with them on and have never felt so comfortable. They are super breathable and allow you to maintain a cooler temperature which is a game changer. If you are currently in the situation I was, and intrigued by all the hype, definitely pull the trigger and give these a try!

My brother loves me more since he tried these out for a day. Great success! He said that were extremely breathable and soft. Hes a bartenders and always in motion and he says these are his new favorites!

Big fan of these guys. They aren't a super snug fit, but aren't noticeable at all. They breath, clean, and dry super easy so are great for the backcountry when you need to stretch clothes and a wash means sticking it in the stream. I am an average build guy, just under 6', and have nothing but good things to say about them.

      husband loves them

      • Size Bought: small

My husband's tall and lean, wears a 32, and the smalls fit him really well. He loves them, especially for backpacking, etc. I recommend not putting them in the dryer, it seems to keep them looking newer longer.

      do these dry out fast?

I just got my large pair, and they are not tight as seen in the pictures.

Should I go for a medium, or is it ok for the fabric to not be motionless (lower part)

      Thanks.

I wear 34 or 36 jeans would you recommend M or L for me?

If you are usually at a 36 I would go with a large, but if you are usually a 34 I would go with a Medium. That waist size is tough, because that is where the size splits. I am a 34 and can definitely say that it is on the high end of the medium option.

Hi, I have always loved ExOfficio's normal...

Hi, I have always loved ExOfficio's normal boxers, however, I recently got a small hernia pretty low down and the doc said that I need to be wearing something that is much more supportive. He recommended a jock, however, that's just not very comfortable for every day use. I was wondering if these are fairly supportive in that area or if the briefs would be a better option. Thanks!

      Hi Eric,

The ExOfficio Boxer Brief certainly offer more support than the boxer. The Brief offers the most however. My recommendation would be to pick up a pair and take them to the doc for an official verdict. Taking chances down there is far to risky in my opinion!!

Can you wear exofficio boxer briefs under...

Can you wear exofficio boxer briefs under shorts or will they show if shorts are not too short obviously. Which are better for long distance hiking, the snug fitting boxer briefs or boxer shorts?
      Mike

Yeah you can wear the boxer briefs with shorts,, they are not too long. As far as long distant hiking, it tends to be a personal preference for the boxer briefs vs boxer shorts. I own 2 pairs of the boxer shorts and they are extremely comfortable. I just recommend what you are use to wearing.

Hi, How much difference in looseness/tightness...

      Hi,
How much difference in looseness/tightness compare to the Boxer ones?

I'm planning to wear ExOfficio Give-N-Go under Merino long johns for my mountain expedition and I was thinking of getting Boxer Brief as from what I understand they are tight fitting.
What about Boxer ones, are they very loose?
Will they be uncomfortable to the body under tight fitting merino long johns?

I'm 5.7 with 30" waist and so will be getting Size S in ExOfficio Give-N-Go.

      Thanks for your help.

I think you are right on. The Boxer Brief is a tighter fit and will be super comfortable!
the Boxers fit like traditional boxers, loose. I wouldn't say uncomfortable, but they fabric will bunch up under a tight fitting baselayer.
and yes I would recommend a size small.
Be sure to send ExO pics from your expedition!

How's the waist band on these? I've got...

How's the waist band on these? I've got a couple pair of Icebreaker 150's, and the merino is nice, but the waist band is this sharp nylon/elastic type material that chafes and cuts into my skin a bit. Fine if you fold the waistband over, but then they don't fit right, and want to fold back.

Also, how's the anti-stink on these? I'm always nervous that the artificial anti-stink additives will wear off after a few uses/washes.

What is the difference between the Boxer...

What is the difference between the Boxer and Boxer Brief? Does the Brief has a form fit?

I have a 33" waist. What size should I pick? It sounds like a medium may fit better.

      Thanks!

I'm 5'10" weigh around 165 and have about a 30-31" waist. I've heard to size down in these. would a small be appropriate?

Do they make these in a long underwear...

Do they make these in a long underwear version? In the military, mideast would work wonders for sand chaffing.

Ex Officio doesn't, but there are many other options when it comes to light-weight synthetic long johns:

two questions. One: why are these boxer...

two questions. One: why are these boxer briefs called Give-N-Go? Two: how many of you use a pair of these boxer briefs under a swimsuit, wetsuit, or even by themself for swimming, canoeing, tubing, surfing, waterskiing, diving, or any other water event? Also mention the water activity name, if you wear it without anything or what you wear it with, and the boxer briefs's color. okay, one more question. When i first registered in this website, they wanted a picture of "this gear in action". Does that mean i should post a picture of me swimming in my blue Ex Officio boxer brief? ( I have a picture of me swimming in my city's recreational pool with my friends while wearing red Fruit of the Loom boxer briefs and my blue board shorts that are a bit big handy) But no, if it ain't Ex Officio, it ain't goin' on this website. Sigh. Please respond.

      lammy,
Give-n-Go is the name of the material they are made of, and yes naming your product after the material would be like Levi's simply being called Denim.

#2- Water sports- Yes and yes. While swimming in them alone may not be visually satisfying for the other participants, they work, but I would recommend holding them if you plan on doing any cliff diving.
And yes again, posting pictures of yourself in your ExOfficio Boxer Briefs on a website for anyone with an internet connection to see and share while we appreciate the excitement you may want to think twice, or just let it rip!!

Do these boxer briefs have a fly?

I'm 6'2" skinny as hell = about 145-150lbs and the size I should get is medium according to their chart. Several people mentioned to size down. Advice?

I'm slightly less lanky (6', 155 lbs, 31-32" waist) and got the small, which I've been happy with. They fit snugly, which I prefer, but not at all uncomfortably. They are actually tightest around my thighs; there is plenty of stretch left in the waist.
