Wear the Ex Officio Women's Amphi Capri when you backpack through Europe or camp in the mountains. Ex Officio made these capri pants from quick-drying nylon that's coated with Teflon. Spill your drink in your lap, and these capris will come clean. Plus, they repel water in case you get caught in light precipitation, and they're wrinkle-resistant in case they get mashed in your backpack. Panels at the knees enable you to move easily without bunching or binding. A security pocket gives you a spot to stash cash or travel documents.

I am 5'1', so these (size small) fit me like regular pants instead of capris, which is why I purchased them. They are comfortable, well-designed, and feminine. I wear them often and enjoyed them during a six week trip to Europe. Because of my height, the knee vents are not exactly at the knees,but it doesn't matter. Great for travel, because they can be washed in the sink if necessary and air dry quickly. I regret that these are not available in black.

My wife doesn't wear outdoor or tech gear and certainly doesn't share my fascination with them. But she loved these. We went on a 3-day hike through the temples and shrines of Kyoto and she wore them 2 of the 3 days. Great fit!
