Lace up the women’s-specific Rockstar and blaze through a second encore.

- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
Got these in a size 9 (wear a size 10 street shoe) they're tight but a comforting tight. I have an extremely skinny foot and this shoe fits like a glove. It is a little soft and pretty flat which is why it is great for beginners. They are great quality and have held up with no problems now for about four months.
Wife loves it
Bought this for my wife. She only climbs in the gym, but she loves them. They don't bother her feet at all. Rubber is very grippy and she's able to hold edges very well. Great beginner/intermediate shoe
Evolv Rockstar Climbing Shoe - Women's
Comfortable right out of the box
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share
My girlfriend just ordered this shoe and so far, she's loved it. It's a great gym shoe and works well for beginner/intermediate level climbers. She's normally a size 9 street shoe and went with the size 9 Rockstar, which was a perfect fit.

Great fit for my low volume narrow foot, I stuck with my street size 6 for a comfortable fit. It only took a week in the gym to get them broken in. I am super happy with their performance, very grippy nice rubber.

I recently got back into rock climing and decided that it was time to invest in some gear. Being from the flat lands of Florida there are not many locations to try on and buy climbing shoes. After reading reviews and talking to some climbers at the gym I decided to go with the evolv rockstar. I climb indoors 3-4 days a week and these shoes have been a vast improvement over the gym rental shoes. I bought them to fit tight which has been very helpful especially as I have advanced in my climbing. I would deffinetly recommend this shoe to someone who is beginning in the sport and looking for a low cost shoe; especially if you don't have the availability to try shoes on.
Nice change from the Elektra
Another great shoe from Evolv that doesn't rub the skin off your heel, and fits low volume feet like a glove. I bought these because the velcro closure on the Elektra didn't tighten down enough for my super low volume feet, so I wanted a lace up shoe (though now they have a lace up version of the Elektra). The Rockstars worked great for the gym, bouldering, and sport climbing outdoors. Eco-friendliness is a nice bonus!
I've been using these for about 5 weeks and couldn't be happier!
Excellent shoes for beginners
I've been using these shoes for little over a month now and I love them.
as a beginner they are just what I needed. My feet are comfortable for the 2-4 hours I spend climbing indoors and they give me an edge on the trails. I'd recommend these for any girl starting up this fun filled hobby.
I love this shoe. I'm still a new climber so I'm still trying to break them in but I went with my tennis shoe size and they fit great. I do bouldering and sportclimbing and they perform like a dream.
do yours actually say rockstar on the...
do yours actually say rockstar on the outside? my gfs came and are blank, major bummer
It depends on the model year. The older ones have Rockstar printed on them, but from what I understand, newer ones do not. Major bummer, indeed!
I've had these for a few months now and love them. They wear in really nicely, grip good and the slightly pointed toe is great for jamming. The soles have held up nicely, they are peeling back slightly in the heel, but nothing out of the ordinary wear and tear of a climbing shoe. I've used them both on rock and in the gym for multiple hours each time and they are comfortable... well, as comfortable as a climbing shoe can be...
We boulder a lot for just beginners! I love these shoes, at first I wanted velcro straps for ease, but now I find the laces help tighten the top of my foot exactly as needed to get the ultimate gripping power. I generally wear 7.5-8 US W, the 7.5 was perfect and the toe box is tight. Rock on!
So far I really like these shoes. I am a begginner/intermediate climber and was looking for a basic comfortable shoes for multi pitch routes. I was worried about ordering online without trying them on, but I went with my athletic shoe size and the climbing shoes ended up fitting perfectly. So far I climbed about 5 single pitch climbs and one multi pitch route in them and they fit like a glove. The performance is great for the outdoor climbing I do - usually no more difficult than 5.9+ or 5.10-
My new kicks!
These shoes have been great so far. Fit great -- a little tight at first, but that is good. I chose my street shoe size and that provides some good tightness. I will prob work my way into a size or half-size smaller next time. Otherwise, I am very happy with their performance, especially for the great price!
I just started getting into climbing about a month ago and needed a good, high quality shoe. These have been great so far. I am normally a shoe size 7.0 in women's and ordered a 7.0 which fits perfectly. Just enough of a squeeze that I can get a good grip but not too much so that my feet are killing me after one route. Would definitely recommend these!
Great for narrow feet!
I have done about 15 climbs now with my Rockstars and they fit like a glove. It took a few climbs to break them in to be comfortable, but this is common for any shoe. Just stick with them and you'll be glad you did. I mostly climb a 5.8/5.9 difficulty and these help dig into the wall on those slivers that i never think will hold but they do! These do run very close to your street shoe size so I recommend ordering same and not taking it down at all. Also, on another recommendation, I ordered two sizes and kept the one that fit best and returned the other. This did cost me the return shipping but totally worth it to have right size without wating for an exchange turn-around to get them.
My wife loved them...
As beginner climbers, I wanted to give my wife some decent shoes. The first I ordered were a little on the small side so I exchanged them for a size up. If you are interested in these, I would definatly buy up a size. When we got the second pair we went right to our neighborhood indoor rock gym. From a novice point of view, these shoes were more than sufficient and I would recommend them.
