Evolv built the Quest-AF Rock Shoes with full-length midsolse for support, and partnered with the Access Fund so you can feel like you're helping support the sport when you slip them on. From Yosemite, to Indian Creek, to spot towers in the Utah desert, these shoes accommodate a wide range of climbing styles and experience levels. Synthratek synthetic uppers have a non-stretch design and a comfortable nylon lining that feels comfortable all day. Stuff the toes in cracks or hook a small ledge and nail your next move thanks to the versatility of the low asymmetric toe profile.

Bottom Line: An all-purpose shoe that solves the rock-and-a-hard place footwear dilemma.

All day comfort

You don't get these shoes to redpoint your hardest pitch, but rather to stand on edges and in cracks for 15 moderate to hard pitches to gain a summit or the top of the wall! Speedy lacing system, easy on and off, sticky rubber, and all day comfort. Get a pair, because you need an all day trad shoe in your quiver!

I wear a size 10 in street shoes. Should I get the 10 or 10.5? Thanks

Nice video! What size of shoe did you buy? And what is your street shoe size? And have your shoes stretched?

Good Beginner Shoe

By:
May 6, 2012

Good Beginner Shoe, works well for climbing in the gym (yet to get outside in them yet), bought them to get back into climbing after not climbing for a few years.

Watch the sizing, I tried another pair of evolv's in my street show size (10.5), and they were painful, bought these in 11 and they are much better, comfortable but tight enough to give good feel of the wall.

Sized too small

By:
August 17, 2011

I can't really give a fair rating of performance but they are way too small. I got my running shoe size (11 mens) and really think I need a whole size larger because these babies were miserable. Not just a little tight but torturous.

Size up.

By:
July 22, 2011

I grabbed these off SAC for around $40, what a steal. I ordered the same size as my street shoes. I'm fairly new to rock climbing, but if my toes can't curl far enough to get into these bad boys there must be a problem.

Good

I haven't had too much experience rock climbing, but I like these shoes and for $55 with shipping, they were a great deal.

RUN SMALL

By:
September 12, 2011

Definitely run small! I wear a size 11.5 in street shoes and ordered a size 11 and they are just a bit too small. I think I would have been fine with a size 11.5.

nice, but do they stretch??

By:
April 29, 2011

So far so small. I went a .5 a size from my street shoe size and the feet are a little tight. I am hoping for these to stretch

Don't count on it. The shoes are totally synthetic, designed not to stretch. You might want to size up if you're looking for an all-day comfort shoe.

First climbing shoes

By:
June 12, 2011

I am new to rock climbing so I don't have anything to compare them too, but I am very happy with the shoes. I chose the same size rock climbing shoe as my everyday shoe, and they fit well with my toes slightly bent. They stick well in cracks, and on small ledges.
