Not thrilled

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I didn't realize it until we took this tent out that there is no way to stake out the tent body so that it's nice and tight against the rain. I put it on it's matching footprint and staked out everything I could as tight as I could, but still the walls of the tent were loose. We ended up getting hit with a lot of rain. Because there's no cover over the front door, every time you open the tent you're getting water inside. The material stayed water tight, but I was really frustrated that I couldn't guy out the walls of the tent. Also, I didn't realize that I would miss having a vestibule for my shoes. All in all, if I still lived out West where rain isn't a normal factor, I'd probably be thrilled with this tent. But here on the East Coast, it drives me crazy that they didn't at least add some loops so I could rig up my own guy line. And FWIW, this is my second Eureka tent (I used the same 3-person tent for a decade) and I'm so bummed.
