Dress the part.
Staring down at your power meter is probably not going to do much to help you feel more like Degenkolb or Dumoulin on your next ride, and even though you won't be mashing the pedals over the cobblestones of the Carrefour de l'Arbre this weekend, you still have plenty of hard riding ahead of you. Heading out in Etxeondo's Team Edition Men's Jersey might make you feel a little closer to the pros, as it’s the same jersey design used by Etxeondo when it outfits the men of Team Giant-Shimano Pro. You'll get a similarly impeccable fit and the same carefully-crafted fabrics that the Basque brand has been known for since the 1970's — without the pressures of the peloton.
Etxeondo starts with its proprietary Superdry fabric to construct the main body of the form-fitting, contoured jersey. The fabric maintains a next-to-skin fit while you're in the saddle while mesh paneling along the sides and the undersides of the sleeves enhance the jersey's ability to move moisture on hot rides. The sleeves themselves end in moderately wide, lightweight arm grippers that stay in place and lie flat without the use of additional materials that could pinch or chafe during your ride.
Along the back of the jersey, three roomy rear pockets sit above a wide, light elastic band that gently encourages the back hem of the jersey to refrain from bunching or riding up while you move in the saddle. The jersey is finished with well-placed reflective accents that work to help keep you visible to motorists and other road users in low-light conditions.

- Q & A
This is an ultralight jersey suited to hot weather and team fit preferences. I have a 39 inch chest and the medium was way too small. I returned it for an alternate selection due to the very light weight nature of the fabric. I had concerns about durability from the fabric weight perspective.
Simple, light summer jersey
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: Large
I'm biased - I really like Etxeondo jerseys. Very nice fabrics, great fit. This one is definitely a summer jersey - it's so light and thin as to almost not be there. No collar, plus the side mesh vents, definitely mean I wouldn't use this for rides below about 65 degrees, but in hot weather it's great. I didn't think the mesh would do much, but it seems to ventilate well. Combine it with a light base layer and you'll be very comfortable.
It is just a teeny bit tighter than other size-large jerseys from Etxeondo, but not so much that I'd order a different size. If you've got serious biceps, though (unlike me), you might find the arms too tight.
