M60/Forty 27.5in Chris King Wheelset

With ENVE’s M60/Forty 27.5in Chris King Wheelset, the best-of-the-best joined forces to deliver what most of us riding off-road have been waiting for: a 27.5in wheelset that falls in-between XC-light and AM-tough. ENVE made the new M60/Forty rim roughly 40g lighter than the previous AM model, making it nearly the same weight as the XC (374g). ENVE did this by using a redesigned beadless hook bead, which is both lighter and more impact resistant than traditional bead hooks. For improved cornering stability, the M60/Forty features a 23mm internal width that allows for a round tire profile and enhanced contact. In addition, the engineers at ENVE have tuned the M60/Forty to provide a degree of vertical compliance, which reduces rider fatigue without forfeiting lateral rigidity and ENVE’s signature “on rails” feel.

The Chris King hubs are what you’d expect from the Portland, Ore., based manufacturer: the highest quality, most durable, and best-looking hubs your hard-earned dollars can buy. The rear hub features 72 points of engagement, giving the freehub body the fastest response of any hub on the market. Not only does the rear hub have its own distinct sound, it’s designed to withstand a consistent 800ft/lbs of torque, almost quadruple what most hubs are even tested to. Go figure, it’s a Chris King.

The ENVE M60/Forty 27.5in Chris King Wheelset is available with either a SRAM 1x XD freehub body or a standard freehub body. The Chris King ISO hubs are compatible with 6-bolt rotors only.
