Classic 45 Carbon Road Wheelset - Clincher

The ENVE Classic 45 Carbon Road Clincher Wheelset offers the positives of deep carbon rims, namely the lightweight, aerodynamic, incredibly fast performance, without sacrificing the practical benefits of clincher wheels. And though most carbon wheels suffer from poor braking performance, the Classic 45 Carbon Road Wheelset leverages aerospace-grade high temperature resin along the braking surface to dissipate heat more effectively, while responding to braking action immediately.

Striking an ideal balance between maximum aerodynamics and real-world performance, ENVE chose the 45mm rim depth for this go-to, everyday set of road racing wheels. This 45mm depth provides extra stiffness and efficiency, without the serious cross-wind negatives experienced by deep carbon wheels, especially when you're riding through exposed areas or over gusty mountain passes.

These carbon road wheels feature an ultra-light 440-gram rim, weighing 1458 grams total with the DT Swiss 240 hubs and Sapim CX Ray stainless steel spokes. They come with either Shimano/SRAM or Campagnolo compatible freehub bodies. Please note that ENVE recommends using its Grey Carbon Brake Pads for the best possible braking performance.
